mike lombardi has a new weekly podcast which started on november 1st. unsurprisingly, the jamie collins trade is among the topics of the first episode. it's good listen.

Make Me Smarter Football Podcast

I look forward to listening to it on the way home.

Most "expert analysis" people on the media just can't hack it as a coach or GM. However, I think that Lombardi may be one of those rare guys that is on the media just because he is so good at it. Back before he got the second Cleveland job he used to appear regularly on Bill Simmons B.S. podcast and Lombardi was just a very, very interesting listen, knowledgable and candid without being one of those "stir controversy for controversy's sake" mediots. After he left the Pats he has appeared on some more of Bill Simmons new non-ESPN podcasts and once again he is a great listen, all sorts of Patriot inside information (by the way, Lombardi is completely convinced that Josh is out-of-here after this year and he will figure out a way to take Garoppolo with him). It will be nice to hear his own Podcast without Simmons (who I think has spread himself too thin) stirring the pot.

I will take a listen but Mike Lombardi has been coming off a little ****y lately.

Very interesting podcast. Thanks for posting that.

I have listened to the BS podcast a bit but since my interests are mostly just NFL stuff didn't like it much. I'm glad we now can get some Lombardi content without having to download the BS podcast.

Agreed. So far I haven't come across many mediots in my rich collection of NFL podcasts, and it's easy to just drop them when you do run in to them.

The podcast world is so much better than the Boston media scene. I'm so sick of all the fake bull**** they spread every hour of every day.

The rant about field goals was cringe worthy. But, that wasn't Mike's fault. More of Mike Lombardi is a good thing. Described Jamie Collins as "Marilyn Monroe syndrome" lol.
