Last nights close loss, would be win with less mistakes reminds me of the 2001 Rams game, Smith fumbles down around the goal line in the first half, coming back late to score a TD but ultimately falling short. But I remember thinking if this team, which is just starting to find itself can compete with the best team in the league, well there maybe hope for this season after all.

Obviously I didn't expect SB run, but make the playoffs etc. Well times are different now.

Last night made me go from yeah probably a one and done playoff team to...well if Cam stays healthy, the WRs grow or maybe they trade for a vet and some young guys on D continue to improve this team can compete with anyone in the league.

Can't wait to see what they look like in 2 weeks at KC.

For the record I was in the camp of the regular season had zero emotion outside of one or two marquee hate/seeding games, it was do we win the SB this year or not.

Having no expectations for this team this season makes the regular season exciting week in and week out for me now... First world problems I know.
