Had some interesting things to say talking to Glen and the boys.

When asked about the parade issue he defended the mayor. Said that all cities facing a potential parade make plans, they have to. Said Boston has always handled that and kept the team out of the loop. The difference with the information Bill used on the Eagles parade was he had a copy of an actual email from the Eagles FO who were actively involved in (and actually driving) the planning in that instance. Ergo, it was the team arrogantly jumping the gun.

Then they asked him about Bill, and if he sees him walking away any time soon. He said no. He sees the same thing they do, a guy who loves what he's doing. Said the only people who don't see it are those who don't know him. Said he's at his most miserable to deal with in June when all his structure evaporates, no more OTA's, when he loses control of his players and coaches for a month while they vacation. Talked about how he loves coaching and he loves the structure of the league too, with the combine, draft, camps, etc. They asked if he thought he'd be interested in moving up in an organization to strictly a FO position. Jon said he's certainly got the mind for it, but he seems to be most strongly drawn to coaching.

Said that they fully expect and believe he will be coaching here for a long time.

I too think that BB's near future goals do NOT include an exec position like the always work-averse Tuna. BB LOVES the coaching, just watch him working with the D huddle every game. That probably means that J McD will leave to become HC elsewhere in one or two years.

On the plus side, the longer BB stays, I can see him continually attracting the young talent in coaching.
What aspiring coach wouldn't want to work under BB for a few seasons, considering a HC job is almost a certainty after that.
