Ivan Fears expected to retire

Kinda crazy huh? Kevin Faulk, Troy Brown and Jerod Mayo all on the coaching staff in fairly prominent roles
One can only hope that Mayo gets the recognition he deserves by being promoted to DC officially. I'm not a fan of Steven as the DC. He's a fantastic Secondary coach.. but I think that's the limit of his abilities based to this point.

And Brian Hoyer?
Hoyer has stated numerous times he has no interest in coaching. That once his playing days were over, he was done..

Fears has been grooming Vinnie Sunseri who players credit for making them better.
But if Faulk wants the job, would be tough to turn him down. He did everything well: running receiving and blocking. Great blocker. Vinnie's got talent, they'll find a spot for him.

Definitely, Bruschi in particular screams coaching potential but I'm sure the TV money is pretty good.
Bruschi took a job with AZ as a Senior advisor last year. It was only a "part-time" role and it allowed him to keep his analyst gig. Not sure if he is ready or willing to make it full time..

That, plus the hours are a lot shorter. At Gillette, coaches are expected to be workaholics- hell everybody is. Tedy's got kids so I'm sure he appreciates the extra time with them.

Both need to spend time coaching DLine before being seriously considered more than defensive coordinator hopefuls, IMO.
Has Mayo been in the defensive back room? He knows ILB from every possible angle, but how does that extend to overseeing the entire operation on that side of the ball? I get that players respect him. So what?

Wow, mass exodus this year, either we lose them to other teams or they are retiring! Will miss him !

Hasn’t Steven been calling the plays for two years. Can’t see him being demoted from that role.

based on what? he's an NFL coaching candidate because at bishop feehan high school, where bruschi is the defensive coordinator, his team has compiled a 16-14 record the last 3 years?????

When Ivan leaves, all of the Originals will be gone as well.

I just hope that Bill doesn't hire another ****ing Slappy... or Amanda...
