I'll admit it...I'm dreaming about Curry, picturing Mayo and Curry next to each other for the next decade. I foresee a a Bruschi/Johnsonlike combo with Curry as the playmaker and Mayo as the hammer. If there ever was a guy built to be inserted into the Patriots LB corp, INSIDE, Curry is the man...6-1, 255 lb.
But his size has me wondering how the league perceives his role... a 4-3 OLB or or a 3-4 ILB...or just a hell of a player that will succeed in multiple roles (the latter I'm sure).
KC is contemplating going 3-4 this year according to ....Chiefs may employ trendy 3-4 defense - Kansas City Star
Does Pioli see Vrabel as a tutor to Curry on the outside, or as compliments, inside and out. And will Pioli be willing to take on the big salary at #3 along wilth Cassel and to a lesser extent, Vrabel. Sure, I'm looking for reasons for KC to move the pick, to the Patriots of course, and I have yet to include the conspiracy theories of inside deals between old friends (wishing)
So.... what role in what scheme do you see Curry thriving in?

I would love a special sauce ILB combo of Curry and Mayo inside, giving opposing offenses diarrhea.

High octane bran

Curry is going to go too high for NE. He might end up in KC though. That would improve the Chiefs D quite a bit. But KC might have to take a franchise tackle before they go LB. Tough choice for them.

Yes, KC will have a difficult choice at #3 if Curry is there.

Rebuilding teams are usually better off with an OT if a top one is available.

I think they have to take him if he is there !!
