I couldn't resist doing the math on this one. Assuming the pass he is talking about was thrown from one sidelines, 40 yards downfield to the other sidelines, you get (120' squared) + (160' squared) = square root of the total. Note that the width of the field is 160'. So you get 25600 + 14400 = 40000.

The square root of 40000 is 200, but it is in FEET, not YARDS! That means the pass was about 66 yards, and not the intuitively ridiculous 211 yards!
