The difference is the linemen were on the line and they had a receiver lined up wide left so that the snapper wasn't the eligible receiver.

So, was the guy supposed to line up in punt formation with one or two blockers instead of under center, while the "student body" split out to the right, leaving the Patriots confused as to who was an eligible receiver and how many people to leave at "Center" to prevent a run by the "punter?" Wouldn't the eligible receivers have had to report before the play? OK, what am I missing?
