I had the privilege and the pleasure of being there for that unbelievable game, 2 rows from the top of the Superdome on about the 20 yard line towards the endzone where both Ty Law ran back the INT and where the kick happened. Just an unbelievable night. Many Pats fans, including myself, in tears (of joy) at the end.
I am soooo jealous.
My one direct connection to that game is that **** Stockton used to live on the same floor as my apartment in NY and we used to talk Boston sports at the elevator. By coincidence I bumped into him as he was on his way to the airport to go to NOL to call the game for Fox' overseas feed.
I asked him if he thought we had a chance. I'll never forget his response: "if the Pats come out and punch the Rams in the nose from the beginning, they'll win the game." How right he was.
