Ty mentions "cat coverage" a lot here. The only player I heard say that was a mid season replacement who played out of position, after many DBs had failed.

Who was this rather loose character who was instrumental in a rather rough ride to the playoffs? He told reporters, after he was thrown in with little practice, that he would play the "cat defense."

Played with passion. Played with flair. He was smarter than his opponent and that's really how he beat you. He was never as athletically gifted as Charles Woodson or Champ Bailey. He relied on being smart and physical at the LOS. He was at the top of his craft.

Artrell Hawkins...I lulzed when I heard that one. That was 2005, right?

Yeah, that was the toughest year for DBs I've ever seen. Guy came in, switched from CB to safety and just got it done. Absolutely one of my favorite (along with last year) teams. I'm a sucker for teams with big hearts and bigger obstacles. RB depth was awful and the one guy we got from Pitt was injured too (Zeroue? that's my best sp guess. Corey Dillon looked like he was riding sideways on a pogo stick.
