For what position does college succes most translate into NFL success.

It's funny how many Heisman Trophy winners never end up being star NFL players (see Eric Crouch, Chris Weinke, and Ron Dayne to name a few from recent history).

Which position, besides kicker, would you consider to be a sure thing come draft day where a team knows exactly what it is going to get?

It seems like there are a share of busts at every position.

Off the top of my head I would say DB and TE are the safest, but I am sure they have had their dissapointments too.

Well, we hope it's 3-4 Defensive Linemen.

So far, so good.:D

Its reasonable to expect punters to perform about as well as they are projected to from their college games.

All you need is measuring tape and a stopwatch.

At first I was going to say offensive line but then you get guys like Robert Gallery and Tony Mandarich.

Interior defesive linemen are the safest bet. Certainly, bb thinks so.
