Events could unfold incredibly well for the Jets if the Patriots defeat the Jaguars, because that would place the Jets' destiny in their hands.

The one be-careful-for-what-you-wish-for scenario is this: The Jets can still win the AFC East with wins over the Dolphins and the Raiders next Sunday if New England loses to Jacksonville today then to Tennessee next Sunday.

He's dead to me, but I'm darn glad he won a starting job.
