I suspect that 12 positions are truly up for grabs.

Do you believe in Evolution?

Evolution is not a "belief," it's a matter of biological science that has been proven many, many times over.

I believe God made humans, and that we did not come from monkeys.

Well I don't 'believe' in anything when it comes to science.

Science is about what one can prove and has a predictive component.

I don't know of any proven mechanism that can be replicated in any experiment where one goes from inorganic molecules to a life form of an sort.

That's because everything on earth has evolved beyond our ability to replicate what initially happened four billion or so years ago in terms of life-sparking chemical interactions.

What sort of Chemical reaction is life sparking?

What is a life spark?

What causes the replication of information?

How does the information know that it is information?

There is no physical mechanism known for going from a non information based chemical reaction from an information generating set of chemical reactions. Since we have no ability to replicate the initial step we are speculating, like the people who 'believe' in Intelligent Design are speculating.

Evolution isn't the same as creation...

Who mentioned creation?

The Buddhist & Taoist essentially are dealing with an intelligent design model that isn't related to Judeo Christian thought. The take for granted that the universe is self aware.

Let me re-phrase: evolution isn't the same as how life began.

Well the proposition that life 'happened' by random chance and that the life we see here evolved by a series of accidents over the existence of this planet.

We don't know of and cannot produce any process that goes from random chemicals to a life form of any sort (ie a virus or bacteria for example).

The former isn't evolution. Only the latter is.

Without to former the latter never occurs...

The Theory of Evolution

Well the model is either divine intervention/ creation, blind random chance, or a self aware intelligent universe where the game is rigged to produce self aware life.

Evolution follows the blind random chance model, if true then one has to identify the physical process that goes from inorganic process to an organic process. The statistical probabilities based on information mathematics seems to be raising questions in the biology community.

They evolutionist will have to provide an reproducible explanation to move from theory to law. If we find that life is widespread across the galaxy then that points more to the ID model but of course isn't proof.

No, evolution does not require an explanation of how life arose. Those are two different things.

Statistical probabilities are BS when it comes to the question of how life arose.

And no, life existing throughout the universe does not point to an ID model. Life probably does exist elsewhere, imo, given how vast the universe is.

That has nothing to do with how life -- or the universe itself -- arose.

Chico's right. Two different things. Origin of life is a different theory, but basically a mystery. Evolution, to some degree isn't theory either- it's an observation. It's the mechanisms for evolution that are theory. There's still some mysteries in evolution. Theory of evolution has evolved and will continue to do so.

yes i do believe in evolution
