Just got an email from a friend/co-worker who grew up 3 doors down from Smith, and has known him her whole life. Small world. Says he's a GREAT guy.

Is she a trial lawyer (poss. the biggest piece of the scum of the earth) too?

In my crystal ball, I see a contentious negotiating future. It's what these people do, after all.

I must say that after hearing him in two interviews...I do feel a bit more optimistic..he seems on the ball and wanting to get things done..as opposed to waiting around to the last minute..NOY sutr about Goodell...he might be the one who will screw things up...but I feel even though he wasn't a player an dmore of a corporate lawters etc..I think he may be able to get things done..
