NFL | Free agency could be pushed back once again
Tue, 7 Mar 2006 16:28:28 -0800

ESPN.com's John Clayton reports there is some thought that if owners are still talking Wednesday night, March 8, free agency could be pushed back another 24 hours.

Wouldn't surprise me. I really have a hard time seeing the owners agreeing to the offer.

Not a surprise at all...I think it will take a few days to understand and then reject the NFLPA offer. I do not see a CBA in the near future..maybe I am pessimistic..but??? Wh should there be any hope...there's hope and in two minutes time Unkeen Gene flies away in a tantrum..NO DEAL

But...but... I thought they had a "tentative agreement"??? How can this be?

I see the owners giving a counteroffer to the players that they will reject. Just rejecting would be bad PR for it shows a split in the ranks
