Back in the 1960s the NFL on CBS theme song was this cool march-like tune called "Confidence." I'd like to hear that again sometime.

it would have to be one of those pieces from the old NFL films but deciding on which one is really tough... every one of those songs is emotionally stirring, they could make me care about Browns-49ers highlights

I would have to say it is the backround music on NFL Primetime that they play when teams come back in their recaps. I have it in my MP3 player as titled "International Statement". If I recall it was originally composed for Political conventions as introduction music which is where I downloaded it. If it weren't for Berman insistently yelling "But wait...here come the Insert Team Here". It would be even better.
