Remember the San Diego game, when LT rammed it in? Look who was right there, at the goalline, WAITING for Tomilson to punch it in. Biesel is a *****. I really don't know how he has a spot on our defense..He's to scared to pursure for gods sake!

I recall that was the game he walked off the field with LT cleat tracks up and down his uniform, yes. It was also the beginning of his psychological implosion.

I'm not about to call the guy a wuss I just don't think he has what it takes to start effectively in the Patriots defensive system. I'm glad the Pats picked him up considering who we have behind him but I hope next year there are more options.

Mangini will need to review his options at backup/ST LB. Options include
Izzo, Davis, Chatham, Beisel, TBC, Chad Brown and Claridge. We kept five-six recently, which seems about right. We also could bring in another free agent or draftee. Eric Alexander is also on the practice squad.

IMHO, we have four fine veteran starters. We have one of the best STer's in the league in Izzo. Beyond that, let them fight it for aa couple of backups at both ILB and OLB.

I would note that Davis and Chatham are free agents, so the inclumbants (with no moves) are

McGinist,Vrabel,Bruschi,Colvin,Izzo
Brown,TBC, Beisel and Claridge.

Hard to trust the assessment of someone who doesn't even know how a player's name is spelled. More home work may be needed......

Beisel seems like a guy who just hasn't grasped his position in this system. So much of tackling is timing, his strength is not necessarily the primary factor. A split second of hesitation can determine whether or not he gets set. I'd still like to see what more time here might do for him.
