Are the bigger names going to be cut today or Friday?

I say today, for guys like Beisel. BB seems to release the vets earlier to let them try and catch on. I also think they know all they need to at this point about guys that have been in the system. The only thing working against that theory is the thinness at LB and fear that a guy could get hurt Thurs. and the player released has already signed somewhere else.

When you're sure someone won't be able to make your club ... that's when to release him.
That's why there is a steady trickle of cuts all off-season.

We have been stung so hard by the injury bug
that we'll keep the best candidates until last
for the very reason you mention.

Plenty of no-names available ... so no big names today.
