Not sure if this was posted already. Good to see the rookies, at least the two who will likely be on the active roster, are hanging with the veterans, including Randy and Wes.

New Patriots WR Randy Moss hasn’t exactly been hiding since hitting town on Wednesday.

Word has been passed along that Moss was in attendance for a Patriots’ charity basketball game at Wellesley High tonight. He didn’t play in the game, one in a series of such contests the team stages, but took in the action from the bench. Moss stuck around the whole game and, living up to his rep of being a sucker for kids, stayed late to sign autographs. According to those there: “He was great”, sticking around to hang out with the fans even after it was announced that autograph time was over.

RB Laurence Maroney was also in attendance. Maroney didn’t play with his injured shoulder, but did shoot around and lifted the ball over his head. WR Reche Caldwell, according to our guys, was the star of the game. DL Kareem Brown, RB Kevin Faulk, LB Larry Izzo, S Brandon Meriweather and WR Wes Welker also played.

While these games are nice to see, they always make me cringe.
