Adding to Ignore List question

I eventually did it by a multiple step process, but is there an easy way by clicking on their post as opposed to checking your mail, going to your ignore list and typing their name while hoping you spelled it right?

When they post, click on their name above the avatar. It'll give you options. Click "View public profile".

Below the name, it'll have an option called "user lists".

Clicking that will bring up options, one of which is "add to ignore list".

Clicking that will bring you to another page which will have you verify via a yes/no question.

The days of the one click ignore mostly died when Ffvb stopped updating updating.

You're welcome. You might want to right click the first one of those and open it in another tab, too, in order to avoid having to do multiple clicks to return to the board afterwards.

Maybe Ian wants the Ignore feature to be treated like the Big Red Button at the White House,
in that multiple steps are required so that the user is really, really sure that he/she wants to use it.

Wow what a sissy thing to do. There are posters on here who I categorically disagree with just about everything they post,but to block them? To go through a bunch of steps because my constitution cant deal with what they are posting? This has become a nation of little sensitive girls. Everybody's so worried about China we may have to start worrying about Canada if this Oprahtanical society gets any less guts. Buncha sissymary's!

In case this is the extremely rare event you are seriously concerned about others thoughts of you, you are not on my ignore list. (And although I can't speak for everyone, I doubt you are on many others.)

How many times do you have to read variations of "Belicheat has won nothing since he was caught," before you get bored?

*The problem is people replying and giving the guy the satisfaction of replies, but I can spend an hour admonishing repliers or spend five minutes on the ignore list.

Deus, I , for one, would be honored to be on your ignore list if I'm not already.

But I will take this opportunity to relive what I consider the funniest moment I've ever seen on social media... on ANY media for that matter. Let's take a stroll down memory lane...

As you all know, earlier in the month, tragedy struck Kansas City when a player went off the deep end. A poster over here wondered what The Chiefs front office was going to do. Were they going to have people come to work right away or were they going to give everyone a short hiatus?

Then it happened. The most hilarious thing I've ever seen.

Deus, the guy with his jersey retired over here with like 32 thousand posts, took it upon himself to give an answer for the ages. One that'll go down in history. He made the historic decision to post a link he thought would be helpful.

He posted a news article link that described what the front office of a California MEAT PACKING PLANT did when they had a similar shooting happen.

Oh, okay, someone thinks there's a protocol correlation between two offices on opposite ends of the social spectrum. The Chiefs, with their huge glistening stadium, and.... the ol' meat packing plant!!!! rotflmao!!

It's almost an entire month later and I'm still on the floor over that one. Deus, I can't thank you enough for the tidal wave of endorphins that's been unleashed in my brain's pleasure center. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

I use Ignore Thread a lot but use Ignore posters rarely. Only fake fans, usually in the game threads like you & Wax said.

Seriously, except for people who are intentionally trolling, there's not one fan on here I'd put on ignore, as annoying as they may be. If they are genuine in their beliefs and are a true fan of the game then they are cool in my books.

Yeah, and it's funny who replied first to this thread with step by step answers on how to add a name to ignore. Gotten into a couple debates with him on here and now I'm on his ignore list because he's actually never wrong. For stating my beliefs I am a troll? :cry2:
