Flashback to the '94 season when Aikman had concussion problems on and off...Dallas' subpar backups had some splendid games, including JASON GARRETT on T-Giving where he threw some 4 TDs. Aikman got healthy late in the year, and they almost 3-peated.
Flashback to the '98 season when Elway missed over a month with a hamstring injury...Bubby Brister stepped in and looked like a HOFer. Remember they almost went undefeated that year, and then won the Super Bowl.
Flashback to the '99 season when their big prized FA, Trent Green, went down with a knee injury in preseason. On came some former Arena Bowl/grocery store clerk to help Vermeil FINALLY get over that hump.
Flashback to the '06 season when McNabb went down with a knee injury, and some former CFL guy came in for the Eagles when it looked it when their season was over. They ended up running the tables, winning the NFCE, and was 3 pts away from advancing to the NFCCG(and they prolly would have easily beaten the Bears).
Keep your heads up, guys-really, Cassell DOES have some weapons to utilize(Moss, Maroney, Welker, Gaffney, Watson, just to name a few). He'll be fine. The Pats will be fine.
