In the NFL the 49ers ruled the 1980's, but the Giants still took 2 championships in between. In the 2000's the Patriots ruled, but the Steelers will probably manage to take two as well. To cross over to another sport, the Celtics and Lakers dominated the 1980's, but the Pistons still took home two titles.
Even if the Steelers win it all, this decade is still the Patriots' decade... especially after Brady's vengeance season next year.
