I'm sure that this has been posted somewhere on this board in the past and I missed it, but it's new to me and I thought I'd share it again.

UPI Archives, March 22, 1983:
SHREVEPORT, La. -- Pittsburgh Steelers' star quarterback Terry Bradshaw underwent surgery on his throwing arm under an alias, officials said Tuesday.

Charles Boyd, Doctor's Hospital administrator, said the four-time Super Bowl quarterback was admitted March 3 under the name Thomas Brady.

Crazy find...

So what I take from it is this: Bradshaw may be able to see into the future, and realized that TFB was going to be the GOAT. He just wanted someone to call him by that name...just once, so he could bask in the glory of being Tom ****ing Brady.

/the hottest take

On Fox NFL Sunday, Bradshaw is always talking about using Tom's name. Even has a fake driver's license with Brady's ID.

Huh...shows how much I watch that show I guess

I wonder how much pressure Giselle is putting on her husband to retire with his health. If he wins title number five, it has to be tempting. I probably would retire, but I'm not half the man Brady is who will likely push ahead for many more years.

I love the doctor's name: Dr. Bill Bundrick. Obviously not an exact match to our coach, but still fairly close.

Mods, please do away with this thread. No offense at all to the OP, but I never want to see Brady and surgery in the same sentence ever again, real or not. Seriously, this makes me super uneasy. I'm kinda superstitious that way.

Wait, isn't Peyton from Louisiana? Why wouldn't Terry use another Louisiana QB's name?

BB, close enough

I don't think some readers of this thread realize that Bradshaw was using this alias in 1983.
