I know when you have a lot of weight you can be prone to sleep apnea - which is what killed Reggie White. I wonder if this is what caused Brace's heart attack.

I'm wondering if it was some undiscovered defect (like a hole) that caused it. 29 is very, very young to be having a heart attack regardless of one's weight. R.I.P.

It could also have been an undiagnosed genetic condition.

His NFL money probably wasn't a whole hell of a lot in the grand scheme of things. I hope that he made good use of whatever scholarships he received at BC and got a quality education and a good career after football that came with benefits that could also help take care of his arrangements and his family.

While I'm not going to opine one way or the other, let's take this opinion with a grain of salt, no? He's a grieving father looking for answers. I'm not sure there's currently any credible evidence that concussions had anything to do with his death.

There does seem to be a link to concussions causing cardiac arrest.

Not sure if CTE can cause heart-attacks which I think is where he is going with his concern.
