Cris Carter And Protecting the Shield of the NFL, The Irony of it all

Steve Balestrieri

Protecting the shield and the integrity of the game. How many times have we heard that since January. Apparently that doesn't hold for the league itself

NFL has announced that due to the probably insensitive comments by Chris Carter, the 2016 Rookie symposium will be hosted by Ray Lewis.

So the NFL, via Carter, was advocating that Belichick and Brady should have made Jastremski and McNally the fall guys right at the beginning, and then Deflategate would never have happened

Perhaps the owners will name Goodell their fall guy for the eventual disaster.

Chris walks it back:

I am sorry i said that NFL Players should be smart criminals.
It is okay to be a dumb criminal.

Chris?

I did not mean to say that all criminals are dumb.

Chris?

What I meant is if you are a criminal, it is better to not get caught, of which i am experienced, mostly.

Chris?

Because if you are in prison, you can't catch any passes.
i mean, ha ha, except for the ones involving soap.

Chris?

Not that i know anything about that.

Chris?

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I'll never forget listening to Mike and mike the day after the pats beat the Ravens last year. Greenberg was talking about how awesome brady played, overcoming that 14 pt deficit twice. Then carter said that brady didn't have that good of a game and flacco played better. That game was one of Brady's best ever. Carter is biased and/or an idiot.

To be biased, one would have to at least possess some level of critical thinking. I'm saying IDIOT, definitely.

Let's see if BSPN reprimands or censures CC for this egg-on-face-for-the-network scenario.

I want a reporter to ask Goodell why Carter was paid to come back after this
