The entire incident began when the Colts intercepted a ball in the first half of the AFC championship game and found it to have low pressure. After the Colts informed the league, all 11 of the Patriots’ balls were inspected and found to be below the allowable level. Patriots sources are steadfast—and their belief was conveyed to the league, according to a source—that Mike Kensil, the NFL’s VP of game operations, walked up to Patriots equipment manager Dave Schoenfeld on the sideline after halftime and said, “We weighed the balls. You are in big f------ trouble.” New England and Kraft thought this incident, and others, showed bias by the league and would be explored in the Wells report. But the Patriots’ theories (including another in which they believed the Colts deflated the intercepted ball) were tossed aside, with the report simply calling the sideline interaction a difference in recollection.

First salvo delivered via Bedard. Nothing extraordinary, but hopefully a fraction of what's to come.

Bingo, that's what's most encouraging about this. For Bedard to be getting that information now, it looks like the Patriots (or at least some people within the organization) are ready to go to war.

Why is this coming now from bedard after the ruling ? I dont get it.
The Patriots are starting to talk. If BB or anyone close to Kraft was withholding things they knew were unjust, to take the high-road, now is the time to unload. Hopefully it amounts to more than just minor chatter. I understand that a court of law is where most of a difference will be made. But it can go hand-in-hand, as the Wells Report itself demonstrates...

Apparently somebody thought there was something to gain by shutting up and taking it. Now that we know that was the worst possible strategy, there's not anything to lose by doing the opposite now.

but how are they going to prove it in a he said she said argument ? iam curious.

This has the potential to be a reporter's wet dream - dirt on the NFL released by the Belichick era Patriots. Some reporter's career might be made here.

Wouldn't shock me if it's BB.
That intercepted ball never should've been thrown by Brady in the first place. That decision was almost
as bad as the INT he threw at the end of the 1st half vs the Ratbirds.
And now because of that screw-up, we are stuck in this sh!tstorm. Damn.
Questionable logic, at best. Based on the build-up it was obvious the Colts and Kensil were going to find a way to ***** about the footballs no matter what.

No I mean the article says
The following appears in the May 18 version of Sports Illustrated:

So obviously bedard got the scoop before this ruling. But yet they wait till today to publish it?

Kraft better fight for that first back. You can keep the 4th and a FU

No they can't keep the 4th, they can have the FU though.

They need to get Goodell removed ASAP. Then his replacement, someone with NO ties to the Rats or Colts at a minimum, needs to revisit recent Goodell judgments, particularly involving the Pats. The Pats should have picks coming from the Rats, and possibly from the Colts too.

If you have seen anything with this investigation or ruling , they wouldve got the pats no matter what. that 1 ball isnt mentioned in the report anyway.

We haven't heard anything from BB on this. I can imagine BB going to Kraft and saying something to the effect "You didn't back me in Spygate and look at the damage that caused, if you don't fight on this I am out of here."
