Is It Time For Mayo To Be Our Head Coach Or To Move On

Looks Top 7 from those stats. Seemed to be even better in the last half of the year.

    Early NFL Draft talk

Maybe they take MHJr at #1 and then trade Fields and #9 to move up to #2-4 to take the best QB available.

With changing online habits, i haven't posted in a few years. I felt it necessary to stop by, however, and add.... OH MY!

    $10M-$12M WR Position

I'd take Welker at 3/$15m. If he gets more than that, I hope it's elsewhere. I'd like to draft a couple of WR this year. FA priority is Vollmer and Talib, for me.

A good plan for the offseason..

I'd resign Talib, Edelman, Woodhead, Arrington. I'd try to resign Vollmer for $6-7m per, or tag and trade. If Welker can command more than $5m per season, I'd let him go. I think there has been a dropoff in his effectiveness, and I don't want to pay big money for his next few years...

What have we learned the last 5 seasons?

I've learnt over the last 12 years that all you can do is be good enough to get into contention for the Superbowl, then you need a fair share of good luck to actually be the last man standing. Those breaks that we got in the first 6 years, others have been getting in the last six years.

Devin McCourty vs. Dez Bryant: Year 3

I like McCourty, but I'd easily take Dez Bryant over McCourty. The question of whether I prefer Dez to McCourty and Hernandez is more difficult though. I'd guess no, but it's close.

The reality of it all is......

I don't think it's any secret that the Ravens match up really well against us, maybe better than any other team. We still beat them more often than not. But we need to be able to keep their defense honest. Even though we ran the ball decently, we couldn't sustain drives. The Ravens take away...

ESPN Inisder: Brady the best QB

Idle thoughts - the morning after....

Well you can see I've been here for seven drafts, and don't have a huge post count, so I don't hang out here that often. I don't really care how you define "best". I would define it as the player I would draft given a set of available players for my football team. So I mean I think BB...

Great draft for LB and Secondary, but what are we doing at DT?

Love and Deaderick were a lot better last year than the year before. It's quite likely that BB saw nothing in the second round that he felt could provide an upgrade over the pair.

Idle thoughts - the morning after....

Tavon Wilson was the best player on the Pats board. You have to assume that. At that pick, they can't look at Kiper's and Mayock's boards and say, "well, we can let this guy slide a few more rounds". They have to assume that a handfull of the other 31 teams have scouted him and ranked him in...

    Post-draft 53-man projection

I agree with this. This would also open up a roster spot.
