I'll stand by my post,going back to June is a couple months. A search that found no specific players or "missed options". Lots of talk centered on the offense.

yes an attempt is acceptable,why wouldn't it be? in the case of the 2 wide receivers we made offers to,we didn't exactly low ball. They chose not to be here. Roster decisions over the last 2-3 years are more difficult to accept versus failed attempts at signing players. My opinion.

I took your advice,gave up looking for your specific defensive FA's when i got into June and hadn't found any in your post. Other than you mentioning Gilmore is now a better zone defender and Gonzo needing a partner.

Please post the results of the last 3-4 drafts. Then give your detailed plan for re-building the roster in 1-2 years. Also failed attempts are still attempts.

Maybe you could give your detailed plan? Provide specifics please. You don't like the offense and how they addressed it and at the same time criticize them for ignoring the defense. Which free agents would you have signed that would have been of help now and the future and how would your draft...
