Brady has proven that he in fact does not deserve to be our idol

A. I think he will be approaching Billionaire status pretty soon. B. Thats exactly the point, he has money, great looks, etc, etc, etc, but glory on gridiron is what he loves and what got him to where he is. And he can't have that anymore.

Why do you doubt that??? Maye is 25 years younger, has the rocket arm and running ability Brady did not, is going to the SB with his former team, Maye is talk of the town, bringing glory back to NE, building his own legacy in NE, etc....and Brady is not, can't play the game that gave him...

Maybe not, he injured his ankle at practice today...

No question about that, he earned that statue with 20 years of unmatched greatness that we were all privileged to watch. As a 33 year Patriots diehard, and there are millions of me in NE, we earned the right to Brady's admiration, at least a little bit of it...but we will get none.

As far as I remember Brady made a conscious choice to leave, even sold his Boston residence in the offseason before leaving. How exactly should we have treated him better, the guy has a STATUE in front of our stadium!!!

That actually would make a lot of sense as he is part owner of the Raiders, can't expect him to mentor players from other teams.

Read some of the other post in the thread, apparently the 20 years of our unquestioned loyalty is worth NOTHING...somehow about half the fan base seems to agree. At least our former players are calling Brady out publicly...

Fair enough, but are you saying that there wasn't a huge portion of the fan base rooting for him as well??? Myself included. I get that he has moved on, has new goal and priorities, couldn't be happier for him. But none of that means his deference for NE and lack of basic loyalty to the team...

Never said he owed us anything...all I said is we made him famous for the good reasons, stood behind him thru anything and still rooted for him when he left. No he does NOT owe us anything.!!!

I second this, completely agree.

By NOT rooting for the Pats he is upsetting millions of Pats fans that supported him anytime for anything. Even though he does not owe his success on the gridiron to the fans, he sure as he'll owes his notoriety to us.

Not sure Seattle being for sale is good for the Pats... The NFL would want Seattle to sell for the highest price, thus elevating value of all NFL franchises, and what would make that price skyrocket more than a SB victory?!
