    X's & O's The Patriots and the Erhardt-Perkins Offense

It seems that way, but, that’s not quite how the math works. The ideal gas law only works if you’re using the Kelvin temperature scale. In degrees Fahrenheit, the temperature difference would have dropped from about 70° to about 50°. It would seem like a huge temperature difference that would...

    Coaching hot seats

McDermott is an interesting one to watch. If another Atlanta or Carolina costs them the Division, and the get knocked out of the playoffs early, it might be time.

Stephen A Smith goes off on rant against Drake Maye

I had no idea what show Cam Newton works for. I'm four pages into this thread and I forget the show's name.

NFL News Brandin Cooks released (signed by Bills)

Bethel Johnson’s TD is exactly why you stick with Williams. Williams is much more likely to give you that play than Cooks.

Home stretch: predict our record over the last 6 games

We’ve been assuming that we see Flacco next week. Any chance Burrow makes the start?

The Evil Patriots Empire is back!

Buffalo's window isn’t closed. Barring injury, Allen has 8-10 years left of peak play. They just have a new barrier that they didn’t face a year ago - their own division.

Are we currently the best team in the NFL?

This is a wonky year without a best team. Anything could happen.

Zak Kuhr De facto DC. How is he doing?

Kuhr has been great. Two weeks in a row now the defense has made a critical stop against a potent offense late in the 4th. Nothing to complain about here. I agree that we should have the horses at CB to play man. My guess is that the LB/S situation is forcing out hands for now. I expect this to...

I’m uneasy about Tonga playing FB. Isn’t that how Richard Seymour got hurt?

    Vrabel vs Belichick

Should we all draw straws to post the Brady vs. Maye poll?

RKK HOF Semi-Finalist [12/3 update: finalist]

Maybe the cynic in me does not see the establishment of this multi-billion dollar media empire as a good thing.

    Adjusted Expectations?

It is fair given how badly the ‘23 and ‘24 teams performed against other bad teams. Still, I would have found it hard to look at the schedule and rosters on paper and not see this being a 9 win season, minimum. Anything less would have signaled, to be, arrested development.

    Adjusted Expectations?

This is a good point. Next year we draw the NFC north and the AFC west, Buffalo twice and a 1st or 2nd place schedule guarantees we face at least one additional playoff team. That is a gauntlet.
  15. S

    Adjusted Expectations?

My preseason expectation was 11 wins and a wild card loss. Looking at the remaining schedule, 11 wins seems safe, 12 likely, 13 possible. A playoff win is very much in the cards, but seeding will be key. I feel good about beating Pittsburgh, LA and JAX anywhere. I think we could beat Indy...

NFL News OT: Shaheed to Seahawks

Great move for Seattle. Totally ok he's not here.

NOT splurging at the trade deadline was a MASTERSTROKE!

The only realistic option I was interested in was Phillips, and Miami trading an established player in division was always going to be a longshot.

RKK HOF Semi-Finalist [12/3 update: finalist]

Owners are billionaires who have usually never played a down of football in their lives. Unless they did something foundational to the development of the league, they don't belong. That said, while I don't care if Kraft gets in or not, precedent dictates that he belongs. Maybe this team's rise...

NFL News OT: Jakobi Meyers headed to Jacksonville

Jax and Meyers are good fits for each other. Lawrence may be overrated, but he’s the best QB Meyers has had since Brady, and Meyers will get a ton of targets. The move is otherwise inconsequential. Jags will be fighting with the Chargers and Ravens for one spot. The odds are not in their favor.
