NEW ARTICLE: Patriots’ Situation With Kendrick Bourne Needs a Resolution Sooner than Later

We also probably won’t keep up with them without forcing them to punt…. Not that we’re competing for a Super Bowl now anyways, but think about how hard it would have been for us to keep up with the 18 chiefs, 14 ravens, 16 falcons, etc without ever threatening the intermediate space over the...

Week 2 Pats @ Steelers pregame thread

Glad no long term injury, but only a chance he plays this week? We need this one. Hope he progresses well.

NEW ARTICLE: Patriots’ Situation With Kendrick Bourne Needs a Resolution Sooner than Later

I really really hope that resolution isn’t a cut/trade. As some pointed out yesterday, it’s a problem when our passing game is only quick game for a few yards with minimal yac and chucking contested fades down the sideline. We need to get more of a threatening passing game in the intermediate...

Game Day Thread Official Post Game Thread- Dolphins beat the Pats

That’s a bit ridiculous to equate not having an OC to being the cause for an injury… he wouldn’t ever get hit if we had an OC?

We are on to Miami: Official week 1 pregame thread

Apparently history actually hasn’t been too unkind to the Pats in Miami when the game is early in the season. It’s those December ones that kill us.

We are on to Miami: Official week 1 pregame thread

No, I’m not thinking of that, and we haven’t primarily done that. I’m aware of the switch between the early game plans vs Hill where we used to essentially double/bracket him vs how we’ve defended him the last times we’ve played him. In recent matchups, it’s primarily been cover 1-based...

We are on to Miami: Official week 1 pregame thread

This would be a challenge. In recent matchups vs tyreek, most of what we’ve done has been cover 1 based. While you aren’t simply doubling hill, you still need the high safety to take away deep routes and crossers (like when we do the cover 1 cross scheme where the trailing man corner and the...

We are on to Miami: Official week 1 pregame thread

I wouldn’t count on that… while I’m excited for the prospect of Marcus Jones guarding guys like waddle in the future, I think the top 3 corners in snap count are simply going to be mills, jon jones, and bryant. I just think that’s where the depth chart stands right now and that’s what they’ll go...

We are on to Miami: Official week 1 pregame thread

I think there’s reason to believe the ravens are, yeah. They played without a healthy Lamar for much of last year and are now favored to win the afcn

We are on to Miami: Official week 1 pregame thread

Isn’t the extra game added to the back end of the season, not the start? The season is still starting the second week of September. Does camp really start later now? I didn’t think so. So the difference is one less preseason game which the starters likely wouldn’t have played in anyways. I’m...

What is your confidence of the Offensive play calling before start of season?

Right… exactly. So that means it was execution vs execution… not a playcalling issue.

What is your confidence of the Offensive play calling before start of season?

As Mac mentioned, we weren’t scheming in preseason. Just running base concepts. I’m more worried about offensive execution. They just weren’t playing well together as a unit. And coaches are certainly not exempt from that

Game Day Thread Official Post-Game Thread - Pats @ Raiders

While OL play is by far my biggest concern right now, I do believe that the group is talented enough. It’s an execution issue. I think this group is plenty capable of being a good OL, but it’s going to require the unit being much more in sync and executing at a higher level. Hopefully these 2...
