PostGame Thread Patriots Lose to the Texans 41-21, Drop to 1-5

That play calling (and man bun) gave up 40 points to Iowa on Saturday. I don’t know if Jerod Mayo, Alex Van Pelt, or Demarcus Covington are up to their jobs or not. Nor, do I know if Eliot Wolf can build a good team or not. We’ll all find out, and, I assert, that anyone who believes they know...

PostGame Thread Patriots Lose to the Texans 41-21, Drop to 1-5

You forgot the blatant face mask penalty on the play before the strip sack. Don’t tell me the fumble would have occurred anyway if it that hadn’t been missed. This was the worst most lopsided officiating since the Jerome Bogar screw job against the Chiefs in December 19th which I witnessed. I...

Patriots Pregame Thread Week 6: Texans @ your 1-4 Patriots

They only have 2 elevations and had to use them on LS and RB.

Would You Have Bill Back If:

The better question for everyone but the saddest of Bill worshippers is where on the list of disgraceful exits for long-time, legendary coaches does Bill’s flameout rank? I have him at #2 behind Joe Paterno. As for the geniuses who want the Krafts to sell, how many people to you think are out...

Patriots Pregame Thread Week 2 discussion: Super Bowl XLIX Finalists visit Foxboro

Javon Baker is active today; Boutte is inactive. The other inactives: Sidy Sow, Trey Jacobs, Curtis Jacobs, and Joe Milton who is the emergency QB. Zach Thomas is the 8th OLinemen.

Patriots Pregame Thread Week 2 discussion: Super Bowl XLIX Finalists visit Foxboro

If my memory serves, the Gesicki overruled TD was not the last play of the game. As I remember the game ended on the Cincy side of the 50 with the Patriots kneeling on the ball. It’s not too much of a stretch that if they were down by a point rather than up 6 that they couldn’t have still won...

Chukwuma Okorafor informed the Patriots he was leaving

Okorafor is a classic example of a talented guy who manages to bank some bucks and then loses his will to play afterwards. He got a contract from the Steelers before the 2023 season, complained his way out of Pittsburgh, pocketed a $ 2 million signing bonus from the Pats, and is now wondering if...

Player Signing OFFICIAL Patriots Practice Squad Tracker Thread

I wonder if Bryan Hudson was a backup waiver claim. They were said to have had competition when they signed him to the practice squad. He’s an intriguing prospect. He was impressive in the Lions-Steelers preseason NFL Network replayed over the weekend. It’s not saying much, but he might already...

Who Are The Six Veteran On Our Practice Squad (the limit is 6)

Per 'Spotrac" (because "Over the cap" hadn't been updated), AJ Thomas's salary is $225,000 rather than $302,500 as are the 4 known PS veterans, so, based on that, it doesn't appear Thomas falls in the veteran category. That leaves 2 openings on the PS (3 if the international player is exempted)...

The Bill Boyz are just as Bad as the Brady Boyz were

It was thrown around regularly during Tom's Tampa days by the Belichick fans that anyone who didn't see things their rosy way was a "Brady fan not a Patriots fan". What we're seeing now is those who over the years became primarily Bill fans and rooting for the Patriots their secondary interest...

Player Signing OFFICIAL Patriots Practice Squad Tracker Thread

You would have to think that part of the consideration for waiving Zappe and not, yet, signing a QB to the PS is a believe of the team that Maye is up to the “baseline competency “ needed. Perhaps, while everyone is healthy, the want Maye and to a lesser extent Milton getting every practice rep...

Player Signing OFFICIAL Patriots Practice Squad Tracker Thread

My guess is they see Geron Christian more as a short-term fix than a long-term possibility. Or, they’re still trying to coax him to fill one of the remaining veteran spots on the PS. He’s not joined another team yet that I’ve seen. I’m impressed with the athlete profiles of the young waiver...

Player Signing OFFICIAL Patriots Practice Squad Tracker Thread

They’ve only filled 1 (Mitchell Wilcox) the 6 “veteran” spots on the PS so far as well. They probably want Reagor and Jordan to fill 2 of those spots, but that leaves 3 more. I’m thinking they’re not done adding to the Oline and a veteran 4th QB will also be added soon.

Game Day Thread OFFICIAL Preseason Game 2: NE @ WAS

Greg Bedard insinuated in “BSJ” that Okorafor had to be convinced to play LT. If that’s the case along with this 1sr half disgrace, the Pats should say adios to him and go with Lowe, Wallace and whatever is available on waivers.

Patriots Daily News Thread Patriots Training Camp: 7/25

One way offensive linemen slow down defensive fronts is to HIT them. With minimal contact allowed, offensive linemen are at a little bit of a disadvantage here. Let’s see what happens when the pads come on next week. If the offensive line still resembles 5 turnstiles, then we can panic.

Pats twitter teasing the team is switching to Red jerseys

I don’t know if this is the norm or not, but I noticed the helmets from last weekend’s rookie camp didn’t have a logo.

Two Key Players No One Is Talking About

Tiguan Thornton is 2 for 2 in his NFL career. Two season both started on the IR. You’d have to think that he has to stay healthy through the OTAs and trading camp if he’s going to continue his career with the Patriots.

    OT: NFL Network Cutbacks

https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/espn-nfl-network-are-believed-to-be-closing-in-on-a-deal It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. I remember Rich Eisen interviewing Robert Kraft before the Pats game in Germany last season. It was the NFL Network’s...
