PATRIOTS NEWS Vrabel's Staff Discussion Thread (Discuss related news here)

Sorry, I didn’t notice your post was a response to another post. If you ask me after watching all these crappy offenses we saw this last season, the whole league might want to look for fresh ideas somewhere else other than McVeigh and Kyle Shanahan. A genius who’s already dribbled 3 SBs down...

PATRIOTS NEWS Vrabel's Staff Discussion Thread (Discuss related news here)

No it wasn’t. According to Curran and Bedard the Pats wanted Bill O’Brien to stay on as OC last year, but he decided to go to Ohio State and then on to BC. According to Albert Breer the Pats wanted Nick Caley next and offered him a lucrative offer for a first time OC which Caley turned down...

Creativity. You mean like putting a goal line offense out on the field in order to open up the pass in the 4th quarter of a Super Bowl? I came to know of this in the “America’s Game” special after SB 53 in 2019 but heard more details of it listening to Brian Hoyer on Sirius going to work last...

PATRIOTS NEWS Vrabel's Staff Discussion Thread (Discuss related news here)

Albert Breer tweeted the Pats interviewed Vikings Asst OC/Asst. QB coach Grant Udinski for their OC position. He is 28 years old and considered a finalist for the Seattle OC job.

NFL News Offseason player acquisition thread

The Pats will have pick 38th in the 2nd round. There were three 4-13 teams. Pats will have 4th pick in 1st round, the 6th pick of round 2, and the 5th pick in the 3rd round. They will also have the 13th pick in the 3rd round from the Judon trade.

PATRIOTS NEWS Ryan Cowden to join front office

It doesn’t matter who’s personnel exec #1 or #2. Those are Rooney Rules niceties. What matters is who has final say over the 53 man roster. Last year it was Wolf. I don’t believe for a second that Vrabel doesn’t have it now.

PATRIOTS NEWS Vrabel's Staff Discussion Thread (Discuss related news here)

Just listened to Greg Bedard on a podcast. He believes (although he thinks ownership and Vrabel will obfuscate the situation) that Vrabel will have final say on personnel. If true, then the Krafts have re-learned that lesson,

PATRIOTS NEWS Vrabel's Staff Discussion Thread (Discuss related news here)

Imagine if the Pats bring Pep Hamilton and Byron Leftwich in to interview for the OC position on Tuesday and hire McDaniels on Wednesday? Bert Breer’s head would explode.

PATRIOTS NEWS Jerod Mayo FIRED per Schefter

No, you can tell if those teams pass on these QBs. The QBs in this draft are Kenny Pickett/Mac Jones type prospects not Jayden Daniels/Drake Maye prospects. The worst thing the Titans, Browns or Giants can do is elevate them into a top 3 pick. They’re wasting the pick if they do.

Will Eliot Wolf survive the week?

One of the things I like the best about Drake Maye is I think he’s “comfortable “ around people naturally.

Two great rookie qbs much greater that the first pick!

We’d be losing our minds if Milton played like that in a preseason game against tomorrow’s practice squadders and Tuesday try out guys and not guys on a 48 man game roster. He was damn impressive if you ask me. Not just his arm and mobility but also with his composure in managing the game.

PostGame Thread 2024 OFFICIAL WEEK 17 POST GAME THREAD: Patriots lose 40-7

Do you really think Patriot Place is a goldmine? For people who like praise (and don’t we all), where are all the media reports about the fabulous success story that is Patriot place. A mall in the middle of nowhere built around the start of the Great Recession in an era where malls have been...

PostGame Thread 2024 OFFICIAL WEEK 17 POST GAME THREAD: Patriots lose 40-7

I suspect it’s ESTIMATED worth has actually gone up as much of that is based on revenues which have increased with the new TV deals far outdistancing the loss of revenue from concessions, parking etc. Recently, the NFL agreed to allow private equity firms to buy into NFL teams because there...

Game Day Thread 2024 OFFICIAL Game Day Thread: NE vs IND

This is what it’s come to- 2 gapping with Daniel Ekuale and Jeremiah Pharms playing DE. That’s pathetic.

PostGame Thread 2024 OFFICIAL POST GAME Thread - Patriots fall to Miami 34-15

Carrol’s resume, at the time, was of a DC who failed as a HC with the Jets. The college resume was his 3rd chance which, to his credit, he made the most of earning himself another attempt at NFL success. You have got to love the fools here who question Kraft’s testicular fortitude. He had the...

PostGame Thread 2024 OFFICIAL POSTGAME: Pats lose to the Jags 32-16, fall to 1-6

I was thinking the last time a Pats’ defense played this badly over a stretch of games was in 2022 after the bye when they also couldn’t stop the run, couldn’t get off the field and gave up too many big plays. At the time, with Bill Belichick as HC and Steve as the play-caller, that stretch was...

PostGame Thread 2024 OFFICIAL POSTGAME: Pats lose to the Jags 32-16, fall to 1-6

My advice would be to find another team then. To you and the other diehard Belichick fans who will never let it go, it’s never going to be good enough no matter what the Krafts, Mayo or the next coach does. Your contempt of the Krafts for firing Bill Belichick will just make you miserable. You...

Mayo seemingly blaming Bill for the state of the roster

Ian needs to change the name of this place from Patsfans.com to Billfans.com. They hate their team. Root against them just to satisfy their Bill obsession. Create crap threads like this to regurgitate their hate for the 1,000th time. This place has become so very sad.
