BB wanted to try to force a passing play. If BB had called a timeout Carroll almost certainly would have opted for 3 running plays. Given Seattle's ability to defend the long ball, BB obviously felt the Pats had a better chance by not calling a timeout. He was right.

I think the refs can award a td in the event a team makes an intentional penalty, and I suspect with Deflategate hanging about, the Pats didn't want to deal with another cheating allegation and the risk of the refs coming down hard. Thus, Deflategate cost us 4 pts.

Carroll is part of an elite group. He won a Superbowl last year and was in one this year. If measured over 2 years, that makes his team the best (though we're the best this year and over a 14 year span). He's nowhere near becoming undone. He'll need a couple of bad years for that to happen.

I think he wasn't sure where he caught the ball. Did he catch it in the endzone or did he catch it at the one foot line and then get pushed back. If the latter, taking a knee in the endzone might be a bad idea, right?

That was a great game. Butler's interception was amazing. That was a play that unfolded in about 1 second. For him to react and intercept was awesome.

I'm not nervous at all. We have a great chance of winning and a blow out win is not outside the realm of possibility. And in the absolute worst case we get to watch the Pats play in Feb. We are so lucky. Thank you Patriots!

I think their intent was to say that even in death we will remain fans of the Pats, but the ambiguity of the image is a little disconcerting.

The Pats win because the Seahawks are a team of the past, when football players were seen as dumb jocks and coaches as male cheerleaders. The Pats are equal in passion and athleticism to the Seahawks, but have the edge in intelligence.
