Player Signing Patriots sign Aussie punter David King

He is neither David D. King (age 25) or David King (age 38, the coach). He played for three semi-pro teams in Australia: Bundoora, Norwood, and Euora.

Player Signing Patriots sign Aussie punter David King

The only problem is, multiple sources list the younger King as being born in 1985, which would make him 24 or 25.

Content Post OT: Jets have a 1 year window

Exactly my point...weren't people saying the Jets had a one-year window in 2008?

Content Post OT: Jets have a 1 year window

Didn't we say that last year about the Jets, after they got Edwards and Sheppard and Scott and all them? Or the year before, when they got Favre, Faneca, Richardson, and all them? Fact of the matter is, the salary cap has little impact on teams anymore. Especially when there isn't one.

    Predict the schedule

Rodney's injury occurred in September 2005 at Pittsburgh. He played the entire 2004 season. Don't you remember his INT against the Steelers in the playoffs?

Would you trade Maroney for Marshawn Lynch?

Would the Bills trade Lynch for Maroney?!? No way.

Less than a week left in RFA season

Teams have until 4 PM next Thursday, April 15 to extend offer sheets to other teams' unsigned restricted free agents. Those teams would then have until the day before the draft to decide whether or not to match the offer sheet. Of course, restricted free agents have until July 15 to sign their...

Would Haynesworth make a good 3-4 DE?

At three years and $16 million, Haynesworth contract is now very tradeable | ProFootballTalk.com As to the point, Haynesworth projects more to a NT in the 3-4 at 350 lbs. But ideally he's a 4-3 DT.

    Questions about Mayo

Holley called it the day before the draft. Probably got inside info.

    2009's scrapped 4-3

I think you need both. Belichick said at the coaches' breakfast two weeks ago that they'd address Burgess in the coming week; that week has come and gone so I'm presuming they will not re-sign him. Even if they did, he didn't prove to be a consistent pass rusher last season. In either case...

    2009's scrapped 4-3

Yes, they definitely were using a 4-3 for the first half of last season; they didn't switch until after the bye week or so. Even when Mayo was out, they still stayed in that defense. Guyton shifted to MLB and the OLBs were Woods and Thomas. Eventually those OLBs proved to be ineffective...

    Anyone hear them crickets?

Actually yes, they are out in full force tonight. Must be the heat.

Do our players fit the 4-3 better than the 3-4?

They all played those positions in college and all to a top half of the first round level.

Do our players fit the 4-3 better than the 3-4?

You're overlooking the fact that Brace and Pryor are also natural 4-3 DTs. Yes, the Pats have had some problems as of late trying to convert college 4-3 players into professional 3-4 players.

Player Signing Pats sign veteran DT Damione Lewis

He's been a 4-3 DT his entire career, so we'll have to see how he handles the switch to 3-4 DE. Ideally he replaces Green and does not start. Does not have much pass rush upside.

Belichick and Caserio have dinner with Tebow!

Then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. When have the Pats publicly wined and dined a draft prospect? When has Belichick spouted as much praise towards a prospect as he did last week at the coaches' breakfast? It's a smokescreen.
