Pats claim QB Mike Teel off waivers, cut QB Rowe and TE Agnone

http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/sports/rap_sheet/index.php/2010/05/21/quartebrack-mike-teel-says-hes-headed-to-new-england/ Teel was the odd man out in Seattle when they signed J.P. Losman this week. Was drafted in the 6th round out of Rutgers by the Seahawks in 2009, spent the entire...

BB on Atlanta radio w/ Dimitroff...ATL/NE will scrimmage August 15

Re: BB on Atlanta radio w/ DJ Dimitroff...possible ATL/NE scrimmage? Reiss says Belichick mentioned something about a "scrimmage." It's not clear whether he meant the preseason game on Aug. 19 between the Falcons or Pats, or a scrimmage the teams will play before then: Belichick rocks with...

    Is Edelman being underestimated?

I tend to agree. When reporters talk about Welker being out, they instantly go to names like Holt, Tate, and Price. Easily overlooked is Edelman, yet he probably has the most productive season out of all of them.

Shawn Springs released [Update: Failed Physical]; Ted Larsen signs deal

Re: Shawn Springs released; Ted Larsen signs deal Thanks, that's what I was trying to get at.

Shawn Springs released [Update: Failed Physical]; Ted Larsen signs deal

Teams release players for failed physicals all the time, even after they've spent the year on IR. Take Oscar Lua for example; he was on IR for all of 2007 and was released after the season because of a failed season-ending physical. That's different than being injured and getting released...

Shawn Springs released [Update: Failed Physical]; Ted Larsen signs deal

Turns out Mike Reiss beat us both by over an hour: Source: Failed physical for Springs - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

Shawn Springs released [Update: Failed Physical]; Ted Larsen signs deal

Of course, Ian Rapoport picks it up from "a source" that Springs failed a physical at the exact minute I post it: Twitter

Shawn Springs released [Update: Failed Physical]; Ted Larsen signs deal

Re: Springs Cut, Larsen signed. How can it clear cap space if there's no cap?!?

Shawn Springs released [Update: Failed Physical]; Ted Larsen signs deal

Re: Springs Cut, Larsen signed. Shawn Springs was signed in 2009, not 2008, and would have only a minimal effect on the 2011 cap in terms of re-signing Mankins.

Why can't this offense be as explosive as 2007?

As was said before, Moss is probably not the same player he was in 2007, even when healthy. That offensive line, save for the Super Bowl, was also pretty solid throughout the year.

Peter King rates Fins at 6, Jets at 7 and Pats at 14

Does Chad Henne have compromising pictures of Peter King? Wow.

OT: O.J. Atogwe won't sign his tender so he'll become an UFA

Re: OJ Atogwe won't sign his tender so he'll become an UFA Right, the deicison is the Rams, but it's either remove the tender and let him walk as a UFA or re-tender him at 110%, which is his franchise salary from last year + 10%. The reason why they were able to skirt that 110% in February is...

Which member of the I.R.S. will make the biggest impact in 2009?

...Who will be catching the passes? Darnell Jenkins? Buddy Farnham? Matt Slater? Bryan Anderson? ...Keron Henry? Rich Musinski? John Stone?

Which member of the I.R.S. will make the biggest impact in 2009?

LeVoir was on the PUP. He was on the 53-man roster for the last ~10 games of the season.

OT: Double standard for 'roid use in NFL and MLB?

What I'm trying to get at is that things are a lot different than they were in the MLB in the steroid era (80s to early 2000s).
