Re: I Knew We not "Best Ever", go ahead hate me The 14-2 49ers of 1989 may actually have been slightly better than the 15-1 49ers of 1984, actually. Both are right up there for all-time great single seasons, though. Also, both versions actually went 8-0 on the road in their seasons.

Not a Pats fan, but I've got a few friends who are. Thought I'd drop by here and see what you guys were thinking of the 49ers season, seeing as they're gonna be the team you're following most closely after yourselves. But yeah; I'm a Niners fan.

He's having a great season. Dunno if it's good enough for the Pro Bowl, though...Randy Moss, Housmandzadeh, Braylon Edwards and a few others would have to be ahead of him. Great pick up, however.

49ers have been terrible, but they should have two players in the Pro Bowl; Patrick Willis and Andy Lee. Even with all of the punting he's had to do, Lee would be the top punter in the league in my opinion.

Patrick Willis really is the runaway Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Totally agreed. It's ludicrous to consider Terrell Owens overrated.

Alex Smith is the youngest starting QB in the league, was playing with an injury behind an offensive line that's forgotten how to block and being coached by quite possibly the worst OC in history. It's too early to consider him an utter flop. Nate Clements has not been anywhere near a...
