Goodell back at it talking integrity

When he goes on and on about "the rules apply to everyone", i wish someone from the media would ask this simple, direct question: What is the actual rule you say Tom Brady violated?

Media ignores Steelers caught cheating on TV last night

i get that, but the buttons cant change location. If the buttons are facing away from him, they would be near his right hand (left side of the screenshot).

Media ignores Steelers caught cheating on TV last night

if he were using the phone you pictured, in order for the buttons to be on the side they are in the photo (near his left hand), the phone would have to be upside down- screen facing the ground. If he was looking at the screen, the buttons would need to be either facing him, or near his right hand.

NFL and Steelers respond to Patriots fans: "Roethlisberger didn't have a cell phone on the sideline"

maybe im in the minority, but it doesn't appear to be a phone to me. If you watch the clip in the first post, the "buttons" aren't there at the beginning, they appear to me to be reflections. Plus it seems pretty bent in his hands, not solid like a phone. Screenshot from the very beginning, no...

Kravitz, Breer and Volin Try to Start Something on McNally and Get Powned

To me, this has always been the biggest thing. he even said "I checked some of the balls this morn... The refs ****ed us...a few of then were at almost 16" If mcnally was supposed to deflate, shouldn't he be saying mcnally is the one who screwed up? also, i think the fact that Goodell was...

Florio: Judge Berman put a poison pill in his ruling

FYI, just listened to profootballtalk live, and Florio was interviewing Kessler. Florio asked him why he thought Berman didn't rule on the other issues, and Kessler thought it was because of the short timeframe, but he also did say that if the 2nd circuit overturns Bermans ruling, it would go...

PATRIOTS NEWS Official Brady vs. NFL Federal Court 8/12 Thread (LIVE UPDATES)

but it's an Espn report, so it's probably bogus.

The Downfall of Sports talk radio..

yeah i actually texted the show, because i cant call, but his explanation for the jets game is "mcnally didnt get the job done". I texted: then why did jastremski's text to his fiance say "they were supposed to be 13" and "the refs fcked us". Wouldn't they have said "hey deflator, wtf?" but...

The Downfall of Sports talk radio..

the good thing about tanguay, is he is giving us valuable insight into how the wells investigation went. He decided early on that brady was guilty, so any evidence he hears he decides proves guilt, anything that implies no guilt is ignored. then he just makes up the rest to fill in the blanks

    EXONERATING EVIDENCE REVEALED IN APPEAL!!!

Maybe it was her "best recollection", those don't carry much weight with wells, though.

    EXONERATING EVIDENCE REVEALED IN APPEAL!!!

Oh, right, Wells later says that Robyn was confused and that wasn't the case. I guess we should all trust wells, right? I mean, obviously it wasn't the patriots gauge since they know where that gauge is....

    EXONERATING EVIDENCE REVEALED IN APPEAL!!!

i read this post last night, and was very confused. Now, as I am at page 258, i am at this part of the report, and i realize what this thread is actually about, but wasnt worded clearly. During Troy Vincent's questioning by Kessler, Kessler says the actual notes from the halftime measurements...

    "It wasn't McNally's job"

I agree, this argument drives me nuts. Especially when they have made it clear that Mcnally is bringing a highlighted copy of the rule to the officials. So, it clearly is his job to be involved in the inflation level of footballs, he is the only one telling the officials what Tom's preferences...

New Order From Judge Berman (Friday 7/31 Afternoon)

Wow. This is huge. This part alone: between the examples given, plus if the NFLPA has any documentation of roger telling brady he needs to admit and apologize, as was reported, then there is no way the NFL can claim roger wasnt "predisposed to favoring" the wells report and a guilty finding...

New Order From Judge Berman (Friday 7/31 Afternoon)

If I'm Brady's side, that's exactly how I play it. All I want is a neutral, non-nfl employee to be an arbitrator, that has to look like not a lot to ask, right? A judge has to look at the nfl and ask, why aren't you willing to have someone else look at this? It's an easy way out for the judge...

New Order From Judge Berman (Friday 7/31 Afternoon)

If I'm the judge, I'd have to think it's the nfl not acting in good faith. Here is one side, who hasn't been proven guilty of knowing about tampering that may or may not have happened, only "more probable than not", but is still willing to pay a fine. The other side, the nfl, is basically trying...

From Florio - Interesting commentary on judicial proceedings

When you think about it, it really is in the best interest of the nfl to settle and give in. For Brady, it can't be any worse than it is now, public perception he cheated, nfl smear campaign, etc. if he plays hardball and doesn't settle, oh well, he takes his chances with the judge who either...

Timeline of league providing false info

i doubt he will, or they would not have publicly released them. maybe they are dripping this info slowly, and telling roger to smarten up on brady or more comes out?

Timeline of league providing false info

it makes me seriously wonder what goodell possibly could have told kraft that made him give it up in may?

Programming note: Chris Mortensen will be on D&C tomorrow at 7:45

i think they will. i was listening to them this morning, they had schefter on, and they spent most of the interview talking about mort, why he hasnt retracted, if he is mad about his source lying to him, etc. schefter was actually getting defensive about mort.
