Seahawks got SB advice from source with conflict of interest

Daring to respond to the Off-Thread nonsense….

Kraft is the owner, IMHO it’s 50-50%. If Kraft had said: “Bill, Tom is a Patriot for life. I don’t give a **** if I eat 4 years of salary cap with him as the 53d player on roster who can’t even be fit enough to practice. I don’t care if I go in cap hell after he retires. YOU figure it out how to keep him here.” It would have been done.

I am not sure tom would have played along, the outlook for that TBay ring was nowhere near the same as in NE. But they could have got it done before they gave him the no-franchise contract. After that they were on a one-way ALLEY (with no turns).
Bob gave Tom his walking papers, allowed Tom to become a free agent when the Patriots clearly owned his rights. That wasn’t Bill…

Also Bob brokered the peace when Bill was going to ship Gronk to Detroit for playing hardball over money. So Bob was involved in personnel and contracts, even if he never held a hardline or told Bill who to draft or sign. That all changed in 2021 when Bob said personnel was becoming a collaboration after just hiring Wolf.

The Krafts wanted better results from the draft, we all did, and that was within their rights to be critical… but pretending it didn’t happen now just so some haters can lay everything that happened personnel wise after 2021 in Bill’s lap is haterade.

Bill had total control from 2000 until 2020.

2021-2024 it was collaboration.

2025 it was Vrabel/Cowden.

This is how it happened, our shared life experience. What Bob said after it crashed and burned or put in a hit piece documentary doesn’t change the timeline.

Then the mystery is solved. Zolak talked to Mike Macdonald. No-one has a greater conflict of interest than an ex-player that presently works for the Patriots, and Zo is throwing Brady under the bus to divert attention away from himself. "It was Brady" - look over there, don't look at me. It was definitely Zo.

I win the prize.

Just the same, Zolak quickly rattled off a bunch of things specific to McDaniels' offense that Brady would be privy to, even seven years after he last played here.

The more Zo talks about Brady, the more it looks like it was Zo.

It wasn't me, it was Tommy. Tommy did it.

I was never a Tommy sycophant but I don't believe he did it.

why do you continue to say the same things, when they have been proven wrong time and time again?

Be specific.

Everything I stated happened.

Right. Probably because that made it easier for him to call the game knowing ahead of time what would happen. Also, without his wife around this allowed him to go on a bender the night before.

It all makes sense now, thanks. Here is your prize:

specifically
Bill had 1000% total control over every football operation until the day he was fired
you continue to say Kraft has said otherwise. Yet Kraft never did

You’re a liar.

You were celebrating when Bob took total power away from Bill in 2021. Posts exist of this.

Now you’re pretending it didn’t happen. Laughable…

That is it. His wife made him do it. Thanks for the award. I will hang it over my fireplace.

Is it better than Wozzy calling Karp a liar?

100% ********.

100% false
you and I even argued, when I said it was in Bill's contract that he had total control, and if Kraft were to take it away, Bill's contract would be null and void, and Bill would then be a free agent.
you asked me to show you Bill contract...and of course disagreed with me

in his presser after firing Bill, Kraft specifically said the family was taking back control of the franchise, and Kraft admitted they allowed Bill total control

I have always said Bill had 100% control til the day he was fired.
now, Kraft may have implored Bill to rely more on his staff. and Bill may have said he would. but Bill always, always, always, had total control and final say.

If you are the (sole) OWNER, by Definition NO ONE BUT YOU has TOTAL CONTROL.

You can DELEGATE DECISION AUTHORITY, but implicit in ANY Delegation is that you can OVERRIDE that decision ANYTIME YOU WANT. Bob didnt want to in 2018-19. Hence, Tom walked

PS: Can we not just let this go and let the various never-to-change opinions ride.

-then we can get back to the true TIN-FOIL HAT CONSPIRACIES that this thread was intended for…..

The hater parade want you to believe the owner had less power than the employee… which makes sense, especially after Bob fired Bill

the owner had control in hiring and firing the employee
the employee had total control over all football operations
as long as the employee was winning SB's, the owners hands were tied.
once the employee stumbled, the owner fired him

so who made the football decisions? clear as day, the employee did until the day he was fired
I also maintain, it was in Bill's contract that he had total control over all football operations
