Draft Rumours 2026

IF we get AJ. Brown and get either one of Ted Hurst - Chris Bell - Stribling - Fields or Caldwell. I'll never ask for a WR again...maybe.
I don’t think we get AJ Brown until June 1st, so they still might take a WR or 2.

so, you think that we will have 6-7 WR's on June 2nd and still think that we need 1-2 more. for the practice squad?

The Fog of War - Robert McNamara from the Documentary by Errol Morris:

Lesson #1: Empathize with your enemy.

Lesson #2: Rationality alone will not save us.

Lesson #3: There's something beyond one's self.

Lesson #4: Maximize efficiency.

Lesson #5: Proportionality should be a guideline in war.

Lesson #6: Get the data.

Lesson #7: Belief and seeing are both often wrong.

Lesson #8: Be prepared to reexamine your reasoning.

Lesson #9: In order to do good, you may have to engage in evil.

Lesson #10: Never say never.

Lesson #11: You can't change human nature.

Some of these actually do apply such as #7 - "We see what we want to believe."

The Bhagavad Gita says something to the effect: We covet that on which we repeatedly fix our attention.

Keep focusing on Monroe Freeling/Akheem Mesidor, and you will covet them, convinced you cannot live with them. Shift your repeated focus to Max Iheanachor/Gabe Jacas, and the object that you covet shifts.

If we don't trade a WR for AJ Brown...we will not draft one with the 1st 5 rounds (unless its TE / WR Eli Stowers).
Brown, Doubs, Hollins, Boutte, Williams are plenty.
Of course, we also have Douglas and Chism.

How many years do you think we will have AJ Brown ? You draft for now AND the future. If they decide to draft Denzel Boston at 31, or a big fast receiver at 63, would that be a bad thing to build for the future. Maye is gonna be 24 in August, have to build around him.

Plus, may I add, there’s no guarantee we land Brown. If another team gets involved, like the Steelers, maybe they’ll offer a better package.

You can’t let the possibility of adding Brown derail your draft plans. Especially since we won’t get him after June 1st, if we get him at all.

I told you that Hollins was a GREAT signing and you fought me for months, and now you kiss my feet over Hollins.

Hope for the Bell brothers. I am telling you to hope for Chris Bell in R2 and then Skyler Bell in R3 or R4. Ring the Bell, ring the Bell. I would have thought you are tired of kissing my feet.

I love the Fog of War. Does it apply to Vrable and Russini?

all those games played before June 1st should certainly affect our draft picks

consider Boston and his 50% or so of being contributor, after learning in the first year. We drafted on of those las year.

I ignore the principle of so many posters that raw rookies will contribute more than veteran starters.

Boston likely wouldn't be the #1 WR this year, and perhaps not even #2 or #3.

I have been worried about this for a while. I'm not sure he will even be there when they pick in the 2nd.
I'm 100% OK with the Pats NOT taking a WR until Day 3. The priorities should be building from the lines out. NOT adding ANOTHER WR who won't contribute much for the 1st year or more on the team.

For me it depends upon who is available at various point in the draft. I think Offthe Ball LB and Edge are the top priorities , but I don't think they should force anything.
