I learned that everyone does not follow one singular set of universal rules years ago when an office colleague prevailed on me for a ride home when her husband was delayed from picking her up after work by a snowstorm. I was a young man, and single, and she bribed me with a home cooked dinner. It turned out that was the Blizzard of ‘78 and by the time we finished dinner the governor had closed all the roads so I ended up snowed in with the two of them. It was a very educational evening.

The one thing that would certainly put this whole controversy to rest, or at least totally change the tone, would be for photos to emerge showing Vrabel and his wife having dinner with Russini at some romantic North End bistro. Ideally followed by the three of them getting into a limo together for the ride home. Or to a Boston hotel, lol.

There’s some truth in your sarcasm here. BUT, there is also a cop-out if I’m being honest.

“No one’s perfect” doesn’t excuse the level of orchestrated corruption and suppression of crimes against children that the Catholic Church practiced for a very long time.

Maybe sell some of that priceless art collection in Rome to fund these payouts.

Things like this are why Luther nailed his thesis to the door centuries ago…there cannot be unchecked power in any organization, especially one that represents God himself. Catholicism still has too much power concentrated among very few men.

and the Protestant Reformation has eventually led us to Evangelicals and a whole slew of other subsets who have completely lost their way, so it's not like Catholicism has the historical market cornered on forgetting the face of their father.....strangely, the current Pope is one of the ones leading the charge back to the actual teachings of Jesus, so things apparently do come full circle

Well said and I agree.

Protestantism has veered SO far off course that on Easter, our family went to a local church and there were literal smoke machines, 9 musicians on stage, 35 min concert (worship) and then a 28 minute sermon simulcast onto the screen from another campus.

It. Was. Wild.

i've seen this theory posted more than a few times. Do you really think Vrabel's wife is OK with it? Is it possible, sure, but I give it maybe a 2% chance, yet some seem to think it's more like 50% I guess.

Count me in the 50/50 camp.

Vrable has been a NFL pro since 1997, so almost 30 years.

This isn't your average suburban couple sleeping in the same bed together every night 99.9% of the nights.

People seem to have a hard time accepting that these people have a different lifestyle.

If the wife flipped out over one girl in a bikini in a hot tub, she'd be gone long, long ago.

The only reason I give it 50/50 is that there is this element of publicity.

No one wants to be openly ****ed.

It really comes down to whether she accepts his story, or she doesn't.

If there was no press element to this, I'd give it 90/10 in favor of her saying this is nothing to be concerned about.

I'd hope in this case we'd be going with the two wrongs don't make a right theory, rather than the they're worse than us so we're okay theory.

If I knew nothing about the Vrabels, I'd give it a 2% chance the wife was cool with her husband fooling around.

Knowing what I do about the Vrabels, I give it a 0.01% chance she is perfectly cool with her husband fooling around (unless they're already separated and we just didn't know).

NOTE: That doesn't mean I assign a 99.99% chance they get divorced. There is middle ground where she is both hurt and angry over the (alleged) affair but they reconcile, get counseling, and work things out.

I haven't seen many comments about Russini's husband. I'd be furious and instantly file for divorce if I saw her acting like a 304. She's been for the streets since the Washington incident.

That said, it raises an eyebrow for Russini regardless since she’s supposed to have some impartiality as a national reporter these days but as far as Vrabel is concerned I am not worried about it. If it was actually an affair I would think these photos would be a little more… I don’t know… direct. Touchy feely. Something tells me Vrabel isn’t a guy who keeps a woman at arm’s length.
