2026 Mock Draft Thread

Here's another mock. Yes it accounts for the fact HC Mike Vrabel went out of the way to work out Iheanachor himself. How did I do?

Iheanachor made it all the way to 31 so I took him.

Ted Hurst ran a solid 4.42 combine while sporting a 6'4 body and nice catch radius.

I made slight move ups to ensure I got the last pass rusher of decent value in the 3rd round in EDGE Mason Thomas.

I made a tiny move up in the 6th to ensure Caldwell who has crazy athletic potential in a 6'5 frame and a 4.31 40. I was impressed with 295 lb DT Regis running a 4.88 40 at the combine. Figured it was worth a late shot on his upside.

Some good names there. Like a lot of of what you did.
However Thomas and Moore are completely unrealistic going that late.

Traded 31 and 95 for 38 and 59.
could have gotten Burke later, but was trying to keep it somewhat realistic even tho Burke should go before where I took him.
Also can't see Moore and Proctor being available where I took them.
Can the draft get here already!

Thanks. I can only go by what the draft engine gives me and maneuver accordingly. Hopefully the Patriots grab one or two steals in the actual draft.

For sure.
The sims are fun to play with, but they get goofy after the first 50-60 picks.
They still have a lot of guys graded in the right area after rd 2, but some are just way off.
They have Travis Burke ranked 217th, and he has been getting a ton of buzz lately. I looked at the teams top 30 visits earlier today, and I think Burke has had more than anyone, I bet he's already visited with 10 teams at least. He seems to be moving up fast (kudos to Manx), rd 3.....maybe even rd 2, but PFSN has him available in the 6th-7th.

Lots of trades to get capital for a deeper '27 draft or a possible AJ Brown trade. Like the way the picks turned out.

I will admit I restarted about 5 times for this one lol

My goal was to get a solid EDGE rusher without settling at OT. I think Tiernan at 80 is a steal.

Made a bunch trade backs as is always too tempting to do. At 108 I wanted to go Bud Clark so bad but I went Jager bomb.

Then I just went hog wild on all my day 3 binkies.

You double dipped on two of my fav TEs, and took Allen who looks smooth as velvet.
Love that.

I remember Gyllenborg from last year because he was expected to enter the draft.

Yeah I love Allen if we plan to move on from Pop.

Funny you mention that.
Last year I liked a TE from Wyoming, and wondered what happened in his rookie year since I never heard mention of him and couldn't remember his name.
Well, good reason I didn't see him in the NFL...it's the same guy.

You'd better be getting either a lot of 2027 draft assets or some quality veteran players if you're going to give up a quarter of your draft capital (these picks are ~870 of their ~1150 points on the JJ chart).

Obviously, zero wow factor. Good, likable players. This is not Talladega Nights. And here I thought Drake Maye was the Baby Jesus (I like to picture Jesus as a ninja fighting off evil samurai.)

I wouldn't use him as a Taysom Hill. All I see him as is a high character, developmental long-term backup. What I like though, is that, as a backup, his play style is similar to Maye with his running ability and good arm but also, that I think you could build an offense for him should Maye be out long term, much like the offense Josh McDaniels built for Cam Newton.

I wanted to try a draft Iheanachor, trade up for Jacas mock. It mostly went well although I almost got wiped out at safety and did lose my preferred RG and CB prospects. Annoyingly, I also lost Kacmarek. This draft also assumes we'll be trading for AJ Brown in June.
