2026 Draft: Linebacker

Eric Gentry, USC, 6-6, 225

I only mention Gentry because of his outstanding length. He's 6'6", has very long arms and an 83-85" wingspan and clearly at 6-6, he has the frame to add more weight. I'm always interested in prospects who have something very few others have and think Gentry is someone who could develop into a potentially formidable edge rusher in time given more weight with that height, wingspan and arm length.

His legs remind me of Shawn Crable's....

I was a big fan of him early but he's more a Spillane replacement rather than compliment and with Spillane doing so well of late, Allen has fallen down my board a bit.

I think that the pats are looking to have 2 MLBs on the field. Guys who can go side-line to Side-line but also can do the coverage for the TE/RB.. Wouldn't surprise me to see them pick an Allen and another guy who can develop together and take over in the middle.

Ellis and Tavai just aren't those guys.

There's a guy I like, Justin Jefferson of Alabama, who's only 222lbs but will probably run in the 4.4s although Bruce Feldman said 4.3s. Prior to FA last year, there were rumours Vrabel was interested in the Jets linebacker Jamien Sherwood who is listed at 216lbs. So I have Jefferson on my list as a potential pick as a run and hit linebacker. Likely day 3.

The first few reps, Rodriguez would have been called for DPI. He shoved the RB at the top of their route and well beyond the 5 yards.
The other thing I noticed is that he doesn't get his head around to look for the ball.

I'll get round to them but Math bomb has started posting their RAS cards for linebackers and so far, every one is above 9.00. Helluva' class.

Sonny Styles with a 10.0 RAS so far. 3C and SS will be interesting, but so far his numbers overshadow Luke Kuechly's.

Combine hype always to be taken with a pinch of salt, but several people have had Styles as a top 10 talent before the Combine, along with Reese and Downs.

I'm trying really hard for him not to become my Fav because I will be so disappointed when another team drafts him.
Agreed. I'm already in the early stages of giving up on one of my binkies, Treydan Stukes, and J-Rod has been another all along. I think it's time to start to disassociate from my binkes.

Bruce Feldman did say Jack Kelly would have a good shuttle.
