I was gonna say yes...

Until I realized it wasn't April 1st and you were actually serious.

No. Obviously.

I don’t understand the love for MHJ.

There is a very good argument that Gonzales is a top 10-15 player in the league. There's no good argument that MHJ is a top 100 player in the league. So the proposal is trading a top 10 player, who's still not in his prime, for a middle of the road WR that averages 700 yards per season and two picks that have a bigger likelihood of being busts than becoming pro-bowlers.

The offense laid a historical egg in the SB, and yet team was still in it with 8 minutes to play because Gonzales made their nr.1 and thus their passing game obsolete. That's how important and rare such a player is.

The only caliber of player you trade Gonzales for is someone like young Mahomes, or young Myles Garrett. Everyone else, and you've traded for an inferior player and you have significantly weaken your team.

I’m praying the Pats lock up Gonzo long term. So no, no way and I making this trade.
Gonzo is a guy you pay. Top 2 CB in the league, had a good playoff run, and is in the prime of his careeer.

Let me think about this. No!

Brady, Gilmore, Wilfork, GRONK, Moss, Gostkowski all got paid as the top at their positions.
As should Gonzo, no question about it, and it better be the Pats signing him to top dollar. I am thinking in the neighborhood of 4 years $135 Mil, this resets the market at CB.

The follow up question to the absurd initial trade suggestion was an alternative trade of 3 first rounders for Gonzo, which i would still strongly consider.

I think you understate the disparity.

The proposed trade is actually much worse than you describe.

KC wants 2 firsts for McDuffie.
He hasn't been the same player since the 2023 Super Bowl.
Gonzo is the real deal and he's only 23. GMs get fired for dumb trades like this would be.
The Champ Bailey - Clinton Portis trade was dumb for both teams.

Right now, Harrison Jr's value might be a second and third straight up without Harrison. He would have to had his career stats (1493 yards, 12 TDs) in a single season for me to even consider including Gonzo in the deal.

Harrison has been a bust thus far in his career. Probably not his fault and the fault of the coaching, QB, and team. But there is no guarantees he will remotely become the WR he was projected to before he was drafted. In fact, he might not be anything better than an average WR who might show flashes of brilliance.

But but but, he's a generational player. They should never have taken Maye when they could have built around Marvin Harrison jr.
