I am not surprised people are picking the Seahawks. I would too. They seem to be a juggernaut of a team with talent all over the field.

Patriots defense needs to get pressure and cover. Maye needs to play like yhe MVP and it still could be a battle.
They're good.
They're not juggernaut good.

That's not the reason why mostly middle aged men clamor for classic rock for the SB show. They want that because that’s where their comfort zone is, most anything else outside of the genre makes them squirm. This same argument was made when Prince performed and when Bruno Mars performed and when Kendrick Lamar performed and on and on and on. Interestingly enough, none of these “unwanted” artists brought down viewership numbers.

As far as Bad Bunny, he’s been relevant for 10 years already. He was the most streamed artist globally from 2020-2022 and then again in 2025. His audience is huge and odds are his career will be just fine over the next decade plus.

I think you underestimate his global appeal and how he’ll draw viewers and for a league that’s pushing to grow the international audience, he’s exactly what the NFL wants.

But don’t worry, you can tune into the geriatric Kid Rock TP halftime show to listen to his lyrics on underage girls. Seems to be a theme his friends and fans like.
And yet, reports are coming out from the Owners and players (41%) had voiced that they feel that Bad Bunny was a bad choice and doesn't represent the NFL.

Until it was announced, I'd never heard of the chump. So I question the claims that he was the "most streamed artist" or that his audience is huge.

Your ending comments about Kid Rock and the people who listen to him are especially pathetic and should have been kept to yourself.

Makes sense. I never took Brady as the mentor from afar type. He seems to feel comfortable in the dynamic as a player to his other teammates, and only that. I'd expect Manning to coach way before I'd expect Brady. Just two very different personalities in that regard.

Brady, as an owner of an opposing team, has restrictions on what he can/can't do in regards to contacting players from other teams.

It's downright disingenuous of MLFootball to not mention that.

He’ll play but on a half week rest we’ll see how effective he is on the ankle. I’m sure the Pats will test him.

If the Patriots get pressure and cover... and Maye has an MVP performance... It won't be a battle.

If he drops down to defend the run, make every bit of contact count and painful. Not to be overly violent, but hell....

So, assuming your percentages are accurate, a solid majority of players and owners thought Bad Bunny was a GOOD idea. BTW- when did this "election" happen? Now, I never heard of the guy either, but I was in my late 20's when Aerosmith was a Boston bar band, so what do I know.

There is a clear mandate from the league that the international market is an important goal (Christ, we are having a freakin' game in AUSTRALIA next year. How does that even work? ) Having an international artist fits the model, even if the President doesn't believe Puerto Ricans are Americans. I guess he wasn't good at Geography in school.

BTW- the next half time show I see will be the first in about 40 years so this really is much ado about NOTHING. Half time is when you eat, **** and comment on the GDT.

Kind of supports my point, the majority don’t voice objection and see it for what it is, an opportunity to bring in a larger global audience.

Kinda odd that you would question verifiable data of globsl streams. Dude generated over $200 million from a 2024 tour and more than that for a recent 30 date residency in Puerto Rico. He is verifiably popular and has a huge global following. You never heard of him, that’s an anecdotally small sample size. Millions of others have, that’s objective and verifiable.

And Kid Rock? That’s a position you’re willing to defend? So you’re ok with his friends and fans either enjoying or simply ignoring his lyrics, “Young ladies, young ladies, I like ‘em underage,’ ‘See some say that’s statutory.’ ‘But I say it’s mandatory”. You pro-pedohilia?” Not the hill I would die on but you do you.

*ROFLMAO* Of course you're deluded enough to belief your point was proven. You only care about information that doesn't debunk you. Like the fact that the guy was involved with under-age girls in Puerto Rico and the guy in his entourage took the fall. Just like with Ray Lewis.

What he generated on a tour doesn't mean jack s**t. Seriously. Not when ticket prices are averaging over $200 a seat. I can point to other artists who had crap music and still generated hundreds of millions in gross revenue.

People like YOU are moronic hypocrites. You rant about one artist's lyrics and are oblivious to the lyrics by the artist you're protecting. Newsflash, There are plenty of RAP songs that are sexually explicit and take about sex with minors as well. Bad Bunny's been taken to task for HIS sexually explicit lyrics. But, yet. You harp on Kid Rock and make stupid claims that you can't support. You should have just stuck to football.

If disrespect is worth anything on the field, Patriots will win 56-0. I never get how in a Super Bowl you cannot be at your most locked in, but I guess human nature is interesting.
If Seattle players get overconfident, they'll have a rude awakening.
I watched all of Darnold's throws last week. Get pressure he's going to struggle. He may have a great game if they don't get pressure but night and day between him and Stafford. Stafford scared me like Allen did. Darnold can't carry the team himself and that's where Pats can win this game. Drake plays to Drake's high regular season level and Darnold gets pressured. Those 2 things are everything.

They aren't "my percentages", Ken. It was a player poll done by the Athletic. Where did you get that it was an election? I never used the word..

I could care less what Goodell's reasons are. Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio was a garbage choice. There are better and much less controversial International musicians that could have been chosen when looking at the "international market". Considering that most artists travel globally on tour, they're all "international".

I could care less about Trump and it's beneath you to bring up his crap in the conversation.

Posted in a different thread but most relevant here:

The keys to this game are all related:

(1) We must pressure Darnold, in order to do that...
(2) Game script must put Darnold in frequent obvious passing situations, in order to do that...
(3) Drake must play well, in order to do that....
(4) the Offensive line must protect Drake well, in order to do that...
(Winner) the key to good protection is recognizing and stopping all of the stunts/games Seattle will bring. In a straight rush scenario the Seahawks are nowhere near as fearsome as the Texans or Denver (believe they are middle of the pack on win rate in straight rushes without any stunts)

So if we reduce everything down to a single key => the offensive line MUST play well against Seattle's stunts and line games. If they do, we become the favorite to win

I worry a lot about Wilson and in particular his ability to pass off lineman playing games effectively. If he is struggling, the coaches should not hesitate to play Brown. Loyalty to a guy is fine during the regular season but this is for all the marbles

Peyton has been great post-retirement.

Yeah Brady is looking worse as time goes on now. Hard to believe this would happen but he is really showing himself to be petty and self absorbed. To not even reach out is somewhat stunning.

He is more popular than Taylor Swift, according to Spotify.

Please tell me you're joking with this..

Brady, as someone who is an owner of another team, is under very strict rules about what he can and can't do in regards to talking to players who are under contract to other teams. People mentioned this in Sam's thread on the main board.

This was brought up as part of his duties as an Announcer and why he's also limited on what activities he can participate in during the week in the lead up to a game he's going to be covering.

At best, Brady could do a video to BOTH TEAMS wishing them luck.

He won't be very good. It's an ankle with only 3 days to the game. Sorry, but not sorry. I would be smoking some insane copium if it was a Pats player, but in reality know that it isn't going to be good.

He will be diminished significantly at the very least.

He's a 5 percent owner in a team. Nobody would blink and eye if he chatted with Maye before the SB. He's not poaching a guy, he's no trying to get secrets, just a quick pep talk. If he did it for both QBs, fine, but to see Manning do it and not Brady...I dunno. I see your point, but nobody would care. Not even the Raiders.
