Patriots Pregame Thread SUPER BOWL PREGAME THREAD - Patriots vs Seahawks 2026 SB - The Rematch

Pregame Discussion ahead of the LIVE game day discussion thread. The actual Game Thread will Open an hour ahead of kickoff.

This is only kind of relevant but I wanted to introduce this song to any fellow pats fans that maybe never heard it before.
 
Reading takes this morning about the game. Sounds like we might as well not show up for the Super Bowl and forfeit. Oh well nice season guess I’ll clean the house or something.

Hit the **** out of JSN when he does catch, attack Darnold, ST has to play its cleanest game, run hard, and suffocate them.
 
From what I could tell it looked like our receivers were blanketed in man coverage against Denver.

Tough game for Maye. He took sacks, but didn't turn the ball over.
 
I'd like the offense to be uptempo, 2 weeks of slop didn't do much to showcase anything. Maye/offense had maybe 2 critical drives each game. And defenses were elite.

I don't think anyone could get any separation, a 5 yard route was a luxury
 
From what I’ve seen online, opposing fans are saying we’re going to get destroyed. GOOD, keep up that energy.

That's what I was hoping for since the Pats were looking a the playoffs. Silence of the Rams III.

But after watching the NFC game and getting a closer look at Nacua, I was okay with Seattle and Sam Darnold.

Hopefully Landry and Spillane are healthy enough to contribute. At least they'll have a couple of weeks to rest, get treatment, and heal.

What I mostly see are opposing fans whining. Same with the former opposing players who were victims and are now mediots.

Me too. I think Darnold has come a long way and has become a very good QB but he is not Stafford (but he was yesterday).

We have two weeks to analyze Darnold.
 
Pats special teams needs to be prepared. the SEA special teams is incredible. their offense is good, but nothing special. it’s their incredible defense and special teams

I think the Pats DL can put massive amounts of pressure on Darnold. their interior OL is not good

He has come a long way but he still mistake prone.

He had the most total turnover for any QB in the regular season this year.

Put pressure on him and he will give you some.
 
Interesting to see how SEA’s defense can be had downfield. Might be a good matchup for us there.
 
Apparently the media has decided already to give the Seahawks the win. Pats can’t beat them, think I heard that in 2001.

I predicted 24-21 Denver mostly because of the history here. Never once said the Pats didn't have a chance cause they absolutely did. Happy to take the L on that but it's just funny to hear all the talk this morning that the Pats might as well not show up.
