No man, you get ahead by earning people's respect.

I was a lower mid-level associate and I had a managing partner I had huge respect for. He had some pro-bono projects taking positions I thought were ridiculous and I told him as much (in a friendly joking manner) and effectively that I hoped he wasn't successful with them.

We both laughed that I thought his pro bono cases were outrageous. And then months later he was there pushing head office for bigger raises for me than my colleagues and telling me partnership was in my future. I never had to suck up to the guy, I just did good work.

Both the people who do the sucking up and the people who promote those who suck up to them are thoroughly pathetic.

I didn’t listen to the presser. Frankly I don’t really care about the Pats right now. Doesn’t matter who they hired, I’m annoyed they fired BB from fan pressure.

I’m sure I’ll get over it and root for them by the time the season rolls around but as of now, Kraft annoys me.

But, what digs did he make? I’ll try to listen to it at some point but hoping for cliff notes lol

And you can tell Kraft loves it. He's just sitting there and doesn't even flinch when his new ridiculous moniker is revealed to the world. As if to silently say "yes, I respond to 'Thunder', and it's totally natural that men would think to call me such."

This booster seat, spineless midget actually allowed his new head coach to call him "Thunder" on live TV and didn't appear to see a thing wrong with it.

You are completely out of line but then so are all your posts regarding race. I can only speak for myself, rave has nothing to do with it. That is ludicrous especially since I am a woman of Indian origin.
I don’t like to see the person who brought so much joy to this franchise vilified by the fans, it’s wrong and disrespectful. I hope Mayo succeeds because as a fan I want the Pats to always win !!! I just do not like some of you taking potshots at Bill. It’s unnecessary and makes you look bad ! I never disrespected Brady in anyway when he left and I hoped that our fan base would give Bill the same courtesy. And by the way, I am a gen-x , so not a snowflake. I guess my experience is that introductory press conferences don’t usually lay out a huge vision such as you expect.
