With all the excitement going around we forgot to celebrate the Pats' best holiday, Comeback Day (3/28). I still have a hard time believing that it happened and I have empathy for Falcon fans. Losing the way they did had to be the worst feeling in the world. How do you blow a 25 point lead in a little over a quarter?

With hindsight I can't help but think it's Sanu's fault.

I look at it as a Pats holiday, not a Brady holiday. Doesn't everyone?
When Bill hoists our seventh Lombardi you know he's feeling a canyon full of "Really?" for all those who spent 20 years insisting he rode Brady's coattails

The game is currently airing on Fox, it's almost halftime. Such a roller coaster of emotions rewatching this game and those emotions are the same each viewing...

Greatest Game in Patriots History.
It's bigger than 2001.
Down 28-3. Greatest comeback in SB history. Doesn't get any better than that.

That Julio Jones catch was a backbreaker.
Heartbreaking.

But Trey Flowers saves the game with the sack. Otherwise, ATL. kicks chip shot fg and game over

All Atlanta had to do was take some time off the clock on each play and just run the ball. They had that chance and could have won multiple times.

It still took some great plays by the Pats though.

The Pats thought of everything. When they scored to tie it with almost a minute left I wondered why they left so much time. My son informed me (later confirmed by BB) that they wanted to score right away just in case they missed the extra points and had to try an onside kick.

We started to do the math when the Pats got down 28-9. Yup, 3 TDs to win or 2 TDs, 2-2pointers and a FG to tie.

And who didn't know that the game was over when they won the coin toss in OT? Nobody (though there was a bit of a scare when they tried to force the ball to Bennett at the end).

Happy Comeback Day to all Pats fans.

It will never ever get old...it's up there with Sherman's reaction after the INT in SB 49

That was a great one. He looked like he swallowed something that was incredibly bitter.

The best thing about Comeback Day is picturing what it was like for Goodell and his Jet buddies, who were most likely partying like it was 1999 only minutes earlier. I get smiley just thinking about it.

This day is also my fiance's birthday...

...which is how I knew she was the one
