Yeah, and he also made a crack about my lifetime earnings. I guarantee you I am more educated than @Ice_Ice_Brady is. I'm guessing he's a Boston U grad or maybe UMass if he made it that far in life...

Don’t diss UMass.

So it's not elitist to talk about my lifetime earnings (your words) but elitist to talk about your education...got it. And no, both of those schools are not good. Maybe in your world.

I could have just as well said, you should go bet $100 on the game, or you should bet you house on the game. You must be really insecure about "lifetime earnings" and are now just being disingenuous...or just really think in the skull and don't understand that it wasn't meant to be insulting.

You can't even fathom how little I care about what school you went to or what school I went to, though I have some strong suspicions about why it's important to you.

.

My mistake, I read too much into your post

I'm not going to get into my earnings because it's in bad taste and not how to judge someone, but I'll just say you really don't want to go there against me.
Hey IceIce, can I borrow some money? ;)

Unfortunately I bet it all on the Cleveland Browns to win the SB this year. Everyone told me it was a lock pick :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Got some surprisingly good news today. Myrtle Beach will be showing Pats game, although I will miss a great pastrami sandwich at Dagwood Bumsteads Bar.

In terms of education, that's a really elitist comment to make; both of those schools are really good and there's no way I could have even gotten into them.
What a **** comment. I can’t believe that he said that. I earned a graduate degree from BU. It’s a top 40 school on US News’ annual rankings.

BU is a great school; congrats! Yeah, it was a misunderstanding that turned into a spat/ pssing contest, so I don’t think he really meant that.

I got my degree from Excelsior College in NY, since they are accredited and accepted 60 credits that I had picked up over about 10 years, then allowed for testing equivalency credits for the rest.

Don't screw this game up, Patriots
Don't screw this game up, Brady

It's very important to the playoffs.

Go Pats

It was a bad comment by me, and I only said because I thought he was making fun of my income level...I should have known better

My two cents. The name of the school is irrelevant as it's what you do with the knowledge that is important. Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard. Where did Steve Jobs go to school? I have a Masters from Penn St. and someday I'll visit the campus for the first time. Congratulations for your degree from Excelsior. You should be proud.

Thanks; I was proud to a accomplish it, and it gave me a lot of confidence, but you’re exactly right about how it’s all about the person and their own path and not the degree/school. Congrats on you degree from Penn State too :)

They either win this week, or they’ll definitely be playing next week..”

Don’t diss UMass.

By the way, UMass Amherst has climbed the academic rankings in the last decade far more than @TommyBrady12 knows. Their Isenberg School of Management is certainly elite as is their Commonwealth Honors College.

The Boston Globe Magazine did a long feature on it last Jan 8th and spent most of the piece complaining that it has gotten too hard for the Commonwealth’s students who used to be able to get in to get in to it anymore.

I’m a Brandeis alum but would definitely choose differently today. UMass AMHERST is a great academic value (particularly for in-state).
