Official Post Game Thread - Chiefs Beat the Pats

That sounds similar to the people saying it's on the Patriots to be in a position to win by 14 every game in case bad officiating.
I think he was being sarcastic, saying they took away 2 TDs so saying “overcome the refs” means expecting them to score 3 times

Must have more than a tired defense to play with the big boys.

No matter what happens this year, I hope the Pats focus next year on building a huge and physical offensive line with a dominant running game.

They have to...they need to upgrade at center and get a new RT. Cannon's too old and we could use some youth in his spot. Wynn didn't have his best game today, but he should improve next year provided he stays healthy. I'm not sold on Andrews as the center long term. Unfortunately, the team is stuck with Mason's contract for the next few years...have to hope he gets better.

The offense wasn't even this inept last year. And there's no reinforcements coming. That's scary.
I think everyone has accepted there won’t be reinforcements and is concentrating on making the best of what they have. The offense was awful versus Pittsburgh last year. People were saying the same things then. Until they beat these top tier teams, they will be doubted. But I think enough pieces are there to do the job.

I didn’t like the CHOICE to challenge at that point.. and it bit NE... needed that challenge (or, better still, the correct call right away).

Who could have foreseen such incompetence by the refs that you would need those challenges on multiple TD plays

IF the Pats win the divisional round....that AFC Champ game in Baltimore will be so much tougher than KC last year IMO

How is it “scary”?
They are a contender and they will have a shot at a championship. They have some improvement to make and they no doubt will go into the post season with he most experienced team and coaching staff, the best self knowledge of their own strengths and weaknesses and a solid game plan.
They may not be the one team to win all of their playoff games. Why is that “scary”?

It's "scary" to think this team has no help on the way. What we've seen on offense the past few months is horrific. The shame in all of this is the defense gave up 23 points to the best offense in football. That should be enough to win.

Saying they have some improvements to make is a major understatement. They are getting worse. Not better.

What’s also is overlooked his how freight train Harry looked on his catch and TD that wasn’t a TD. He was moving so fast in my opinion. Get him the ball in space and watch him go.

He was awesome on that play. Just weaved through the defense and showed good awareness to dive for the score before going out of bounds.

All I can say is thanks for the stab in the back Massachusetts State Police

How long is the commute from your planet?

The pieces aren't enough. At least last year there was the potential of turning a switch. Still had Gronk. Still had Andrews. Develin was here. Forgive me for not being confident.

What's real worrysome is the mystique of home field advantage vanquished today. This team hardly ever loses at home.

I assume you're mad at them for not sabotaging the transportation of the uniforms?

Also overlooked: he jacked up his hip on that play.

This team needs to go balls out and bring in OBJ and draft a TE and show Brady they’re still doing what they can to get him weapons.
We don't need to do anything for Brady unless it puts us in the best position to win AS A TEAM. The last thing we need is to pass on good bargains on defense to sign an overpriced free agent to impress Brady.

I want the offense to succeed but all upgrades should be made because they are the right moves. If Brady being happy is more important than the rest of the team, we are no longer doing things in the Patriot Way.

Let's hope Brady chooses to stay because he trusts in Belichick. The pair are coming off a Super Bowl and if Brady can't accept there are up and down years, then he isn't seeing things clearly anymore.
