I really want to know why they didn't call unnecessary roughness on Jeff Heath's hit on Myers. In the replay, you could see the helmet chips flying through the air. There was obvious contact "to the head and neck area". This is what irks me about the NFL. "These rules are for player safety" and then you see this stuff get no flag.

And don't get me started about Aikman on that play. Heath lit himself up and there's Aikman... "Great hit by Heath".

In the end of the day I feel much better after the Cowboys game than I did the Eagles game. The offense didn’t look great but we had a couple drives where we started off on our own side of the field and drove down into field goal range. Brady played well in spite of the conditions. For the most part he felt the rush well and made a couple plays to avoid a pass rusher and get the ball out. His receivers and TE’s didn’t do him any favors along with the passing backs. That being said I’m starting to wonder if James White is fighting through something. He hasn’t been used a lot and when he’s thrown to it hasn’t looked right. With the issues at receiver we will need him and Brady back on the same page down the homestretch.

Aikman didn’t even try to conceal the fact that he was openly rooting for Dallas. Especially after the tripping call late.

The very stable genius has spoken. All hail the very stable genius!!!!

I'd have gone with something along the lines of...

...but why quibble?

The one angle I saw was from the end zone. The side of Heaths helmet may have made contact with the side of Jacobis but to me it looked more shoulder contact than anything. Me personally I was good with the hit, solid breakup of the pass.

Agree. I was also OK with the hit.

...which was basically the same hit Brooks had vs Ertz

So what? This forum is about sharing opinions. Ofcourse none of us can fix or change anything. Why are you here if not to listen to other people’s opinions?
You'll have to excuse Ring 6. He's new around here.

<some get this>

As is the MCI, who came up with this diarrhea. Interception? Blocked kick? Nahhhh... it was them tripping calls!

Don't bother clicking on it. I'm not giving that asshat any clicks.

Perfectly legal hit. It’s still football after all.

MCI being the MCI. Let’s face it, the only reason this less than mediocre football writer has a job at the Globe is because he is a reliable line-toer for their Patriots agenda.

.

I think people are conditioned to think that tripping only occurs foot to foot. It is certainly possible to trip with your leg. I thought the first was iffy, but the 2nd the O-Lineman moves toward the defender while lifting his leg because his arms weren't going to get there.

Even their past-ref in the booth (forget which one) said it was a penalty.

10-1 with an offense that has been below average/downright bad for the past 4 games. Imagine when they click and get healthier?

This was just a really poorly officiated game overall. Myers was clearly a defenseless receiver at that point and got jacked in the head. Shoulder to head is still illegal.

Don’t know the head ref by name but whenever I see games with him, they’re usually pretty bad

Mixed bag. Good job getting open, terrible job catching the football.

Given what he's shown so far, a hands issue is not at all concerning moving forward.

The chance of blocking a fg and returning it for a td is greater than the chance of scoring with 1 play from the 15. Especially vs Belichick the year after the Miami debacle.

And even more so when the play did, in fact, run off the remaining time. Are we supposed to factor time keeper error into our calculations now?

IF the Patriots D made that play you would have called it legal that was a GReat play by the Defender. Meyers saw him and the ball at the same time he was worried about getting Blasted!

10 years ago, I would've been screaming "Yeah" after that hit but not today. Today, I would be expecting a flag, just like Brooks got hit with. Instead, I see a slo-mo replay with helmet paint flying away and see Heath rubbing his head afterward, dazed from his head shot, and no call.

It's funny you mention that... every time I see one of his tweets/opinion pieces I get diarrhea.
